C ~ I totally agree with you. I was shocked when he said that about his battle with anxiety and panic attacks. I've been dealing with it since I was 5 years old...

Stopping the chain smoking would help John. I have battled all of that stuff at one time or another. Clean living and time can eventually heal.

I think rain on the scarecrow was one song you hit the mark with. Farmers are still in the same crisis and America has lost way to many Family farms and nothing ever is done about it! Your one of the best John been a big fan since you started!

I'm now in my sixties and have written 200 songs since I was seventeen. I couldn't believe it when he talked about his panic attacks and his fear of cancer. I go through that every day!

The consequences of creativity promotes endless thought thus involving good and bad. Good thoughts, writing music, painting etc. Bad thoughts, worries of being or becoming sick etc. That's balance and helps us realize utopia isn't free or truly possible for that matter. It's living inside everyone and for some it can be deeply detrimental if that positive creativity is ignored (production in humans is not necessarily negotiable, it is a fact that we must produce or we will stagnate and be less than useful which inherently makes us suffer deep inside whether recognized or not) and the creative mind is left to be negatively creative. For every good thing in our lives there are negative balances, that's our meter for realizing the good things in life. Minimizing the negative comes by exercising the positive creativity. Maximizing the positive creativity is then less of a decision and more akin to a requirement. This is why retirement isn't the utopia most people think it is or will be. Just some thoughts.

Sounds more like depression. Mixed w anxiety. Back in college I remember reading 'The Courage to Create' by Rollo May...its a think book. But at the Time made sense to me. John might enjoy it.. And get something out of it. I did. But keep in mind at the Time I was in my 20's... Already married divorced member of work force.. Etc. Wasn't quite a kid. But it was still years ago. Also might be a good idea to make sure someone's not has lighting you... It is possible. People actually do such nasty things to hold people back. Keep going JOHN.. Your doing great.. Just some suggestions or points of interest.

There are supplements for anxiety. You do not need to take prescription drugs. There are an array of supplements

Supplements are vital either way. B12.. Magnesium calms you down and need by body... But if you Need a mild med then do it. Exercise too is one of the best medicine a . if you have that luxury.

I have found only one way to assuage panic attacks. SAVE AND INVEST MONEY! It has nothing to do with riches. It has everything to do with feeling secure when others (employers) cast you away. Saving money is also the best revenge one can take while working for a crappy employer.

Wow - that “you’re good looks” was painful……😕 If she was in high school she’d be home crying on her bed for her social “faux pas” and the realization that the boy she has a crush on doesn’t even know she exists……😂
