Good video. When I see those trails, I can't help but be impressed by the work that the original trail builders put into it. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick

Thank you for the video. Did the same in 2023 starting Aug 4 & did not document like this so it’s a perfect reliving of mytrip too!! Thanks again!!!!

Great job Glowstick. Thanks for sharing the adventure and beautiful views. The JMT is definitely a bucket list item for me. Spent 8 days on the PCT in Washington State this year and loved it!!

Thanks so much, Stan the Man! Did you get out to the CT this summer as planned?

@@AudreyAdventures Hi. Did some hikes in Colorado and a couple of 14ners but not the CT. My plans changes but the CT is still on my list😀

Great video, you captured every pass and scenes in between. Your team made very good time, you trucked straight on through and made it look easy, but I know it wasn't easy. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you! It definitely wasn’t easy haha

That is awesome you did the JMT👍 I won a permit lottery going SOBO from Happy Isles and am so nervous/excited about it. I think the trail is very different going southbound
@AudreyAdventures11 ай бұрын
Congratulations! Those SoBo permits are hard to come by. Yes, I’m sure it’s a different experience SoBo vs NoBo. You build up to the high stuff instead of diving right in. Good luck and happy trails!

Excellent videography! I did the JMT in 2007, southbound. July 4-14. Kinda fast, no stops, all food in two bear cans (small, large Bearvaults.) Started at Glacier Point, ended at Whitney Portal. Ending at Glacier Point probably preferable, to escape the crush of folks (though was the GP road open in August this year?) I started at Glacier Point because I couldn’t get a permit to start at Happy Isles; in retrospect that entry/exit point is more equanamous and fits better within the wilderness experience. Onward!

Thank you! I would say that is fast! Two bear cans though? 👀 I didn’t even like carrying one. 😜 I would definitely not end at Happy Isles if I ever did it again so I think that was a good call on your part!

Glacier Point Road opened late this past summer but road work caused 30 minute delays both ways if you were driving up there and the shuttle wasn't running up there this season due to the construction. So if you were ending your hike at GP you could either hitch a ride down or hike down the Four Mile Trail.

Thank you for making this video. I just got into hiking. I wish I knew my more hikers . I just gave up road biking.. I am over the cars. I’m pretty old and I wish I had started earlier but I don’t have a time machine😂
@AudreyAdventures2 ай бұрын
You're welcome! And hey better late than never. :) Maybe look for some hiking groups in your area? Also, if you get out and hike some long trails, you will definitely meet some other hikers!

@@AudreyAdventures girl, yesterday was my longest hike. 10 miles. If it wasn’t so hot I could have done more! I love hiking so much. I bought a headlamp and started at 5:40 lol. Now I need poles, then all the backpacking stuff😂🥳

THANK YOU for sharing. I wanted to hike JMT last year but I’m 60 and no snow mountaineer. Looking forward this year and looking at starting at Cottonwood Pass as an option because Yosemite sobo, near where I live are nearly impossible to get. What year/month was this? Last year? Prob so with the bridge being out. How many days did it take you? know every winter is so different, winter, weather, fire, etc.
@AudreyAdventures10 ай бұрын
You're welcome! Yeah it was an intense time out there haha. This was August 5th to 20th, 2023. It took 16 days from Cottonwood Pass to Yosemite Valley, including one zero day at Vermillion Valley Resort.
