John O' Dreams - The Wilderness Yet

Thanks to Jim who commissioned us to arrange and record this wonderful song when we were crowdfunding for our debut album. The words are by Bill Caddick, who took the tune from Tchaikovsky (Symphony No. 6, Pathetique) who in turn borrowed it from a southern Italian lullaby entitled Piva Piva, so in that way the melody came full circle!

Hey, what a voice. Great sound backing you too. So much of what we hear comes from music created hundreds of years ago and are now called the great works. They in turn got their tunes sometimes from Sheppards.
