I hate AT&T so much, they suck like Kirby industrial vacuum cleaner, they lie and cheat their customers and laugh at us because they know there's basically not much we can do about it. My parents had AT&T* for their home phone service ever since they bought out the local "Baby Bell." I took them off in 2022, porting their number to a T-Mobile MVNO cell phone, but we still have AT&T home internet. It's fine. I like to think the profit from the internet I'm paying for goes to pay John. * Today's AT&T isn't the old AT&T. SBC bought out AT&T and as a part of that took over using the name AT&T.

As bad as he makes it sound, AT&T is still the most reliable ISP I've ever had, with the most responsive and competent customer service. Whether you read that as a compliment to them or an indictment of US internet infrastructure is up to you.

If you think about it, he always makes the same joke "how do you like it corporate daddy?" - with 7 writers on this show, it makes you think, why don't they make new jokes? Simple - AT&T pays for him to "roast them", because all advertisement is good advertisement. (alternatively, they said yes once and he's been using that as an excuse since)
