I see him as the younger version of John Candy. I saw Candy as a favorite uncle, and watching his movies was like a family reunion that got good when THAT uncle arrived. The younger John was like a favorite cousin. I don't know what it is with the really big guys named John, but John Goodman is also a favorite, but he's not doing "cuddly" anymore. He was also family in the 90s.

I don't wanna break anonymity but I was in a "treatment center" with John in 2012 and he was one of the sweetest guys I've ever met. Just a genuine big hearted and funny man who I feel honored to have spent time with. The way he is onstage is how he is off, just a real sweet guy and gone too soon. RIP John and rest easy funny man.
