I see him as the younger version of John Candy. I saw Candy as a favorite uncle, and watching his movies was like a family reunion that got good when THAT uncle arrived. The younger John was like a favorite cousin. I don't know what it is with the really big guys named John, but John Goodman is also a favorite, but he's not doing "cuddly" anymore. He was also family in the 90s.

Here in Denver we have a comedy radio station (103.1..it’s amazing) and I discovered John Pineete through this station. They play his stuff regularly and he’s become of my favorites! His bit about “gluten” free food is beyond hilarious! But his story was tragic and it’s sad we lost him WAY too soon. A true comic genius!

The first time I watched this as a kid I was laughing so hard my parents came running in from the other room because they thought something was wrong with me. Then I showed it to them and they were on the floor laughing almost as hard as I was. I used to be able to recite the whole thing from memory. Such a great comedian.

I'm 71, live here in the UK, but I would think that viftually no one had heard of him here during HIS lifetime other than any of those people fortunate enough to have seen him perform at the Edinburgh Festival which was a v funny piece of one of his later shows I've seen. IMO he was a comedic genius, I hope the buffet is well stocked wherever he is now. Rest easy, Big Boy 😂😂😭😭

I really loved (and still do) John Pinette's line delivery. His facial expressions were the perfect punchline, and I love when that slow, gratified smile envelops his whole being as he waits for applause to die down. John Pinette, I hope you're dancing in the sky. Thank you for the much- needed laughs! 💖

I came here because, I was watching the movie called ‘The Punisher 1994’ I quite liked how John acted in the film he’s funny ! And I’ve done abit of research about him. He’s such a funny comedian actor ! Awesome guy with great talent. The only saddest thing about John, I never knew he passed away in 2014 which one 6 years ago almost 7 years now, since its New Years next month. I was quite sad to see this. R.I.P May god bless you. Hope you’re having a good time in heaven. You will always be the best.

Indian music coming from the bathroom. South Indian here. I cannot stop giggling because that is spot on jab at North India, which we always lluuvvvv (and so relatable because North Indian cuisine is all chilli and butter and cumin, nothing else -- too spicy even for us).
