While John may finally be at rest, he leaves a vacuum that will be hard, if not impossible, to fill. John has been our musical companion for almost 50 years - saying goodbye to Prine seems almost as hard as saying goodbye to my wife was. Smoke that 9 mile cigarette John, and then look down upon all of those you have left behind, and know that you were deeply, _deeply,_ loved. You will live on in the eternity of our national consciousness.*

Saludos.

"As a child, a neighborhood kid who was always in trouble chose me for a friend. His brothers pushed him around a lot, and his mother generally ignored him. Years later as a teenager, still always in trouble, he ended up in Juvenile Court and the prosecutor decided to tell the court and my friend, that his father was his father, but his mother was his oldest sister. No wonder he was always in trouble". ~John Prine
