The twilight of what was an awesome era for "raw" physicality in The NBA, as in all sports. Be reminded, prior to the '80s, society was more punitive and unforgiving, Kids were tougher and more self-reliant, and, there were fewer teams vying for a giant surplus of upper-quality players, who were overseen by "weak" Players' Associations. Back then, Darwinian-like rules invited constant 'Intimidation'. What superstar today compares to Larry Bird? Not een remotely? In hockey, to Gordie Howe, who'd win scorin' trophies while bein'a League leader in fights and pen/min.? In Football, to The vintage Raiders of 'Old'? In Baseball, familiar occurrances, like ruthless Slides, a la 'Ty Cobb', and some 'chin music'. Come to think, regards physical play, whistles were largely kept in the pocket. Everyone except the Detroit players and fans hated the Pistons. The game has changed so much that they wouldn't even be allowed to play like that today. Instead of "The Bad Boys", they'd be known as "The Flagrant Foulers". Laimbeer, Rodman, and Mahorn would get ejected midway through the first quarter in today's game.

I am getting bored with all the Jordon talk, is he the only exciting player to ever play the game of basketball. Please can we turn the page ? 🖤👽

Bad Boys forever. I remember the Bad Boys called Jordan and Pippen punks! I fell out. I saw them when Lambeer in several different games punched Bird in the jaw, he smacked Parrish in the back of the head. People loved the Pistons. Yes!!!

Isiah Thomas took more punishment in the paint than any player in his era. He never cried about it, neither. Jordan dramatic, like the Pistons were ending careers. They didn't shake my hand. Stop crying.

detroit wasnt clean. They didnt play tough and clean they were trying to hurt jordan they played dirty. There is a difference. They wanted to end careers with the Jordan rules and how they played. yes, i would be pissed off as well.

So basically MJ practiced before practice and worked out in the pool after practice. And yes I’m talking about practice, not a game but practice

Jordan is still angry because of the fact that he thought those PISTON TITLES should have belonged to The Bulls.

And we kind of got robbed in 87, 88.....Pistons had a shot to have won a couple more.

Hatred for bad boy pistons, until Shaq and penny rock you then you need Rodman to guard Shaq and get you back to the finals. Jordan only hates young black men and people who disagree with him and don't fear him 😱

Dumb comment- he only had 17 games, and wasn't in basketball shape. 2nd half of your comment was even dumber

Jordon called out Scotty for not getting his surgery done. Scotty didn’t care because he was underpaid for his abilities. You think Jordon wouldn’t have done the same thing if he was the one getting underpaid?
