I feel that because Chicago Bulls management failed the team, the Bulls are irrelevant yet again. When you go against certain simple non written laws of sports, you end up failing. Telling Phil he is out even with 82-0 before season ? That's a disrespect to sports laws. He won you 5 rings. Telling Jordan, arguably the GOAT who single handly changed Bulls and NBA, he's out because they thinking of rebuilding and not giving him a chance for a 7th or maybe an 8th ring ? Not wanting to keep him until he truly retires with a great squad around him ? That's a disrespect of sports laws. Trading Pippen and Kerr and releasing Rodman when they got you 6 rings for Pippen and 3 for Kerr and Rodman ? That's a disrespect of sports laws. The fact you have propably the best team and coach with the GOAT playing in his prime and you're thinking of breaking up the team for rebuilding reasons is a total disrespect of sports laws. I have NEVER heard or seen this anywhere else, in any other sport. Happened with the Montreal Canadiens. In the 90s, the Habs started having a really bad team mentality when they traded Chelios and Roy. Since then, the Habs who one 24 Stanley Cups in their history haven't gone to the finals once. Since then, the Habs have always failed star players that have a strong mentality and who raise their games in the playoffs. The Habs want to win, but they always manage to drive star players away from Montreal, ruin young prospects and create all kinds of drama for nothing. A few years ago, they traded their best defenceman Subban, the best player on the team at the time on a nightly basis, for a far slower and 4 year older player past his prime. With the Preds, Subban was yet again a Norris nominee and made the finals. Doing that, is a disrespect to sports laws and the Habs I predit will never win anything again if they don't change their team management culture. Just saying, it's my subjective opinion of course, but I feel the Bulls management ruined that last season with the team for BS rebuilding reasons. All the starters had another 2-3 good years at the top of their game. It truly is sad. I really don't understand what was going in the back of their minds of Jerry Krause and the owner.

6-0 is amazing. But sometimes Like it was the case in the 2000s, the eastern conference finalist was an easier matchup then the Western conference finalist. For instance, The Kings and Spurs were tougher than The Nets, The Sixers or the Pacers. In Jordans case, The Knicks, The Pistons, The Pacers were all tougher than the western conference finalist. I find it hard to believe MJ would have gone undefeated in a finals series against the Shaq and Kobe Lakers or Against Pops Spurs with Tim Duncan, D. Robinson, Add Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, I’m gonna miss a bunch of very good players off the bench but Bruce Bowen would have at the very least disrupted MJ enough to have 2 bad games and that would have been the difference in winning a series.

With how far physical training has advanced with technology, Jordan is in great shape and the fact that he always had superhuman athleticism means he can still play at his current age. @@cwstewartjr1973 his dad who he was extremely close to getting murdered is why he stepped away. No pressure MJ ever faced did he fold under. Just never happened. It's literally the one argument you cannot make about MJ. He thrived under pressure, even if his team couldn't handle it and couldn't preform against the best teams around in the 80's, MJ always did. He was almost always, I mean 99% of the time, the best player on the court. In an alpha era, full of great teams, great defences, great coaches and some brutal defending, MJ never showed mental weakness. Mental weakness is a trate that's all too common in today's game and LeBron is no exception. LeBron has crumbled too many times, he clearly has mental frailties and the worst thing is, he's competing against other mostly mentally weak players, but still he cracks. I remember watching the TV at dawn (I live in Europe, games started at 2:30 or 3:00). First lights go out, than comes the music and the Chicago players come in, the crowd goes insane, the tension blows the charts. I loved it, it still gives me goosebumps to see those games again. I remember cheering and going crazy in front of the TV in 1997 when the Bulls have stolen the ball passed it to Kukoc and he dunked it.

Michael Jordan is the best basketball player ever , for several reasons, but the most important one is, his determination to win at all costs. He is and most likely always will be, the most influential athlete that ever lived, not because of statistics, but because of his bigger than life persona, cultivated by himself. His mind, exploited the talent of his Body , and forced others around him to Excel, or sit down , cuz winning takes commitment from the whole team !

MJ said it himself that he was mentally, physically and emotionally drained when he was done with the first 3-peat. There was a high chance that his performance would’ve decreased if he went back right away. I think his 2nd 3-peat was partially due to the fact that he was able to rest and ease his mind a bit during his hiatus. Which is why he was so motivated during his comeback season.
@simple456794 жыл бұрын
Nah, he was so motivated because he got beat by Orlando and he cost the team that series. Tim Grover touched on that in a recent interview that they immediately went to training after the loss

MJ’s “The Last Dance” paints a picture of a man built on facts with a touch of class and spice to capture our attention. I enjoyed each episode and even though I have never met Mr. Jordan I know that I would like him and its not because he is a great NBA athlete but because Mr. Jordan appears to treat others off the court with respect. From the man tasked with protecting MJ to the wide eyed little boys and girls of every color with huge smiles on their face asking for and receiving MJ’s autograph. As a 78-year old white man who witnessed first hand racism back in the late 40’s through to the 50’s I think it fair to say that because of sports “in general” racism in future generations will be rare. The ONLY dark side of the documentary is when Mr. Pippin sat himself down and refused to play because he did not get to take the last shot. I do not understand and cannot figure out why. All the players in the film said multiple times their coach insisted players play as a team and MJ (the BEST ever to play the game) bought into Mr. Jackson’s ideology and yet Mr. Pippin chose this specific time and place to refuse to play ……. And get this …. Mr. Pippin said if he had to do it over again he would do the same thing …… But, this is the same man who signed a contract even though the owner suggested he not sign …… Perhaps Mr. Pippin is the real Mr. Rodman.

Man, even playing on the playground, it was about how long you could stay on the court. I'll never forget winning like 12 consecutive (full court) games; what that felt like; the groove you had to be in with your teammates to keep winning, until someone could beat you. The disappointment in losing that last game, but the satisfaction of having a run like that, too was real cool. Too bad MJ couldn't keep doing it until....smh...

The one Bloch in Micheal Jordan's unbelievable phenomena is that he played with the Washinghton Wizards but only to get out of his ownership contract he had with them. Micheal Jordan s an NBA owner, and looking back it is Jerry Reinsdorf that should have made this happen mane by giving him a ten percent stake in the Chicago Bulls maybe in the past twenty years the legacy of the Jordan dynasty would not have fell so far. I get that he was loyal to Jerry Krause and though it is a good quality to have a sports franchise has to be in the business of winning and no other person personifies that more then Micheal Jordan. Wish he was a Bull for life an ownership had that grander perspective to make that happen after all the man and his star is the NBA. As LeBron James is making Space Jam 2, and he can mirror Micheal Jordan all he wants, but the slogan ain't, I want to be like LeBron.

I mean I think part of why it’s so fascinating is because the 90’s bulls were cut short. They stopped while they were ahead and we didn’t really get the closure with Michael Jordan that we’ve had with other players. He stopped playing while he was on top. They all did. And now we’ll never know what might have been, how Michael Jordan’s career might have changed. And that’s something you can roll over in your mind forever.
