I mean, I like Invincible Flame in KOF 2001’s OST, but mostly because it sounds like Mother/Earthbound music to me (like, when you’re fighting a robotic machine or something). Besides that though, I think KOF 2001’s OST is okay, in my opinion. My biggest issue with the soundtrack is the instrumentation sometimes. The guitars sound rough in this game.

Orochi saga was the only KOF saga that actually got to tell a story without SNK collapsing mid storyline. NESTS and Ash would have been good if they didn't have to pivot mid story for various reasons, and Verse saga has been a bit of a nothing burger

Igniz jumpscare though but seriously despite how... well, shit the game is compared to other kof titles, i still find it to be a lot of fun i loved going solo as either yuri or k' and personally, i kinda like the artwork for the game idk, it has its own.. "goofy" charm to it that i personally am a fan of moyai clark my beloved

It’s funny how jank both Zero and Igniz were cause ignoring all the obviously broken stuff, all of their jump attacks have the same jank animation that can beat DPs, so they could rush you down and kill you up close if they felt like it.

What version of this and 2000 are you playing? I have ps2 port with both 2000 and 2001 on the same disc and what you're playing is ridiculously easy. I always remembered the first half was stupid easy then a sudden jump half way after stage 3 or 4 then the bosses would be pretty hard, sometimes I had to use Kula's infinite combo to easily beat the 2 bosses of '01. Plus the character art on the character select screen is definitely not what I remember.

Chill brother! This footage is 2 years old and was my first time playing 2001 on level 4 and like third time playing it overall. My only issues with 01 are the portrait art, music and boss difficulty. I think those are reasonable complaints
