I would love NZ to go back to being a New Zealander, not a Pakeha, or a Maori or any other race - New Zealanders. Everything else is dividing NZ. I also hate that we are getting lots of unelected officials who don't deliver anything and you can't vote them out. Needs based not race based would be good.
@andreapaki3727

So what your saying is you want to go back to the days of colonising Maori so that its a Pakeha world! Those days are over, we wont be acting like Pakeha because we are not Pakeha. You cannot change one ethnic race to be like another

I agree with you. There are a multitude of New Zealanders who migrated from cultures all over the world. We have willingly made the adaptation this culture and this brings us the benefit of being able to communicate with much of the world, with ease. Maori in Hone Heke's time had more insight than the Revisionists of today.

@@andreapaki3727Think very carefully. The agenda for "indigenous" people is ultimately a cynical conversion to a form of Marxism. That's what I'm reading and hearing from various sources. The divisiveness and polarisation is the strategy of the totalitarian societies. Plenty of examples can be seen around the world. Ignorance is bliss.

Unfortunately, almost all treaties are signed with the understanding that they will improve the position of all parties involved, but quickly become soft legal underbellies allowing the erosion of human rights completely out of the scope of the original intents behind the treaty. As such, treaties of all kinds should be avoided like the plague and equality under the law with a focus on well constructed national laws should be the focus. The idea that different groups of citizenry within a nation should be bifurcated on identity (racial or otherwise) grounds, and then be made to sign a treaty with each other which will be exploited by special interest groups should be anathema to all right thinking people.

There is a lobby in Australia. Just investigate the National Indigenous Australians Agency that reportedly represents all of the needs of Aboriginals. It has a 21/22 budget of $5.7 billion and 1300 employees. Is that not a lobby group...on top of all the other groups, Councils etc.

Yup - street signs in another language - 9/10 of the population wouldn't understand it - there's no language dictionary and spelling guide been invented for more than 5 years (no words for "police car) in the old lingo - kids in primary schools have to learn it - just what they need when they migrate to Australia - history being rewritten to take account of "cultural sensitivities" - heaps of "trusts" and "authorities" to look after lucrative " cultural treasures' - the only thing the halfwit government haven't invented is a "National Guidebook To Perdition".

There are significant differences - mainly that Maori are not indigenous in the sense that Australuan aborigines are. Maori also colonised the land in the way the Brits did…just a bit earlier.
@michelekett8450
@michelekett8450 Жыл бұрын
@@sisiphas It’s more a matter of how long a group of people arrived. The Māoris came from Hawaii when most of the land was submerged about 3,000 years ago, populating a lot of the islands as they moved through the Pacific. It’s possible that the Aboriginal people came from India over 50,000 years ago. The fact is that if you are born in any country, you are indigenous to that land. The energy of a country is part of your being. Ultimately, all human beings are derived from the same source, the Cosmos, and it’s where we return to after one of the many lifetimes we have on the Earth we helped create.

'The losers in this are the people most in need'. That is the core issue. The day after the referendum it was back to treaty, truth etc and not 'what are we going to do TODAY to stop generations of children being born with FASD ?' Thanks to Ms Costello for her very clear explanation.

What a load of divisive racist Hobsons Pledge garbage. Racist British colonisation and a racist Westminster system caused nothing but misery and destruction of our once beautiful country of Aotearoa and its indigenous Maori. Maori killed off in interloping British wars, Maori land loss and confiscation. List goes on....

GOD ALMIGHTY Owns Aotearoa-NZ. Righteousness and Justice is the Foundation of Govt. 1840 - Ariki (King) Paramount Maori Chief 'Te Kani A Takirau.' Never Signed the Treaty of Waitangi! 1840 - Queen Victoria, did she Sign the Treaty of Waitangi? Two Sovereigns from two Nations. Britain and Aotearoa (The Land of the Long White Cloud) Govts are supposed to be serving GOD and the People. Not foreign rich peoples. We need a Godly Govt in Power that will not bad mouth, DEFAME, insult, mock, treat unfairly, rob, hurt, traumatise, anger Maori Nation. That will UNITE Maori, Pakeha and other Foreigners in Aotearoa-NZ.
