that was my immediate thought when I heard the ages of everyone involved--literally what fucking normal 20 year old would ever be friends with sophomores in high school?? Like, unless it's a strictly mentor/student or familial relationship, I really don't understand all of these grown ass adults hanging out in discords and getting into beef with literal children. I'm 26 and no offense to teenagers--I was one once obviously--but I cannot fathom hanging out with people who haven't even finished puberty, and I don't think these weird age gap friendships between high schoolers and people in their 20s should be as normalized as they seem to be right now.

I’ve had friends from when I was in school that I played games with All the time when I was 13, they all ranged from 13-18, we just played games together. Fast forward to now, I’m 20, couple of them are 21, 24, 25, etc and were still friends, and it was a big friend group, and we have 0 problems of predatory actions at all. Sometimes the older people were cousins/friends with some of the younger people so they played with us, other times it was just that they were cool. The idea that having a younger friend in your group of Friends is predatory in nature is some real internet projection bullshit if you ask me. I honestly felt like it was far too soon for ppl to hop on and praise John for such an obvious side to pick when it came to that drama. To an extent, it's understandable why John kept persisting the lie out of stress given the sudden public spectacle it became, especially when he was so far in. It was incredibly inconsiderate and still fucked up given he not only put in Dream in the hot seat, but his friends as well. However, at the end of the day it was still a scuffle about a single incident of trolling that blew up way too much because one of the participants had 18 million subscribers.

@@alexx5064 but essentially a 17 year old KZbinr, at the time, named Spoctor was falsely accused of being a pedo for sending sexual messages to an 8 year old KZbinr named Stories. Let’s just say, Stories was 13 and in the messages Spoctor was 16. He knew that she wasn’t 8. It ended with Stories and Pentagrin, another KZbinr who helped take down Spoctor, deleted their KZbin channels as Ponder exposed this. Later information came out that this was planned back in December of 2017 from Stories and got two other friends to expose the kid. There’s more to it but that’s the summary.

If theres one thing we can give John credit for, he wasnt wrong about Jako recording without permission and leaking everything, also wasnt wrong about Aiden having a pissy vendetta about Swan not trusting Aiden. I think this made ALOT of people look bad. Swan buried himself, Jako buried himself, Skipper hurt his cred TREMENDOUSLY, and Aiden made himself untrustworthy unless you agree with him in every way. Look at how Aiden treats DeOrio and Flamenco...theyre like sworn enemies, all because they disagree with Aiden. So i mean this makes so many people look bad on so many different levels.
