The 5-0 EFI Windsor V8 returned in 1991 with the series 1 EB. It returned to the ute with the series 2 XH in about 1997.

That gearshift looks so easy. The V8's returned in the 1990 by popular demand. The last V8 XE was a silver Fairmont ESP 4.9L manual sedan with all options and it sold for over $354,000 recently also sold by Grays.

The 351 was actually continued until 1985 in the F Series and Bronco, I've got one in a 1985 Bronco.

Also Ford Australia was supplying 351 Cleveland to De Tomaso used in the Pantera until 1985ish

I had an XE 302. Not fast by today's standards, but had that great old school Rumble. Last V8 Cleveland sedan was '83 ZK Fairlanes. Last Cleveland period was '85 Bronco/F Series. I drive 2012 Corolla sedan now......dull but reliable and comfortable.

I had a ESP that color but efi 6 auto. Hi km one owner country car. A trade in which needed very little done as it was a very well maintained Ford dealer serviced unit. The V8s on those were strangled and drank fuel and did not go!1 You can ofcourse rebuild them and make them run properly. Though often the heads are simply burnt out by the emmisons crap. Which delivered far less power and used far more fuel.

What beautiful old Ford. I would own one of these anyway but now pricing will be out of my reach. Back in 1980 I purchased a 1979 plated MY 1980 XD Falcon S Pack 4.9 Litre 302ci V8, 4 Speed Manual, and I modified her with Genie Tuned extractors twin exhaust stainless steel system, 3 Piece Bobtail Rear Spoiler, John Goss reverse Hood Scoop, front grille given the Phase 5 colour coded grille withe the Ford badge moved from the centre of the grille to the Lower Left side and below bumper rectangular Driving Lights just like the Phase 5, Globe Bathurst Alloy Wheels with T/A rubber. I had done the Instrument Cluster in the Silver surroundings with red illumination just like the ESP Version. I even had the anti pollution gear removed, Sports Chrome Air Filter and Alloy Rocker Covers. She was a beautiful Yellow beast
