40 years ago this month, I was 7 hearing this on the radio every day waiting for The Cars or Prince. This song connected even at that age. Obviously as I got older it came to mean much much more. One of the all time best imo. He’s fantastic here, so smooth and soulful. Love the band as well.

his voice is so unique, maybe not john gary tenor, but very few possess and endure aging., completely the opposited of the yelling voice such as springsteen (can't stand BS). yeah john waite is a good fit tour with styx and foreigner.

If you don’t stop performing your instrument is tuned lots of bands stop and start again the instruments are fine but the singers have stopped for many years and they cannot hold notes anymore look at Aerosmith it took all those years and finally Steven Tyler’s vocal cords gave out he is 76 it took 59 years for that to happen
