@magicae 37 You're right. After 87 it sort of stopped. There were some good songs but few and far between. From what I can recall all the great 80s music was from 80 to 85. 86 to 87 there were some good stuff but then it stopped.

I've been a poet and started singing at 50 only because of being locked at home during Covid, and these 80's singers have taught me as much as anyone in my first year singing, 2000 hours in and 700 recordings in my first year, loving singing, other poets should try transitioning, good luck

Man there’s just something magical about the 80s. Everyone talks about it. Maybe it was the simpler times. High school and college. Our formative and fun years.
