Magic moment, I read your comment Rick, about John coming over because he was in town & had the time to share... my 1st thought was, He must know this family, he was invited to their home, he came over to have a good time & sharing his gift. And I also thought it was someone's bday. Sometimes folks on the internet can be cruel and so negative. Thanks for posting this, he's one of my favorite singers.

The Baby's are the MOST UNDERRATED BAND in the history of rock. I love John Waite. I went to your concert in Las Cruces in 1987. I saw you again at Sunland Park Casino. I was the one sitting with a beer in my hand watching you do your sound check. I didn't mean to make you feel awkward. I just couldn't believe I was six feet in front of you. You sang this song, Bluebird Cafe. I immediately went out an bought it. Thank you for all the great music, John. Came back to El Paso soon!

I don't usually post comments on videos twice but I went through and read all the comments they were all so awesome made me smile and feel my heart it's amazing to think one man and one voice can do so much :-) and by the way if you haven't seen it there's a picture out there of him shaking the president-elect hand and a little video of him singing a song he wrote for him so cool! Merry Christmas everyone and happy holidays God bless

i can't you how many times ive listened to this song on the way to work.. it makes me think of the way sometimes young kids going through pain, just like i did growing up, decide to turn to music..some, lucky enough to be talented (lol, unlike me-musically anyway..) And I have especially used the song to remedy my worries during all these massive shootings..all the while HOPING that they somehow, don't let the madness..demons if you will..get to or INTO them..in any way ~ And continue to follow whatever dreams they have. now, we deal w/Covid..and it's a fresh new obstacle. Dear Lord, May they persevere. Amen Great song ~ ~ ~

This video simply highlights how much fun everyone had, I think. It makes me laugh at your title, one song, one fan, six feet. Given everything, looks like everyone was having fun. The dog was just greeting everyone it seems. Should make that dog the unofficial people greeter and give him a raise, very good at his greeting job! I can tell this is a small private event, but very nice video. Thank you for sharing. I think sometimes it is easy to see the negative in any situation or circumstance, event, if you are looking for it, but there is also the positive. It is a matter of focus. :-) Love this stripped-down intimate moment. Sometimes, it is so much better than arena rock, though I love both! I can tell that dog has the biggest grin and he is just so happy. Makes me smile.

This is so sad. From top hits to someone’s living room with little crowd control
@RickMiller333 жыл бұрын
Hi Todd. Seems you may be upset others are having what you'll never have and instead of being cool, you lash out. Sad. The Flaming Lips and Jackson Browne have been in that living room. It should be noted that John has become a friend over the many years and has known the girl in the video since she was five years old. It was her birthday and he was happy to do it. He did it for no money and a glass of red wine. He did it because he was in town for a sold-out show of his own and had the time to surprise her. You should not listen to rock n roll brother... it ain't you and you ain't rock n roll if that is your attitude.

@@toddgilreath3199 Mate, that's the problem with a lot of people, and some artist/musician wannabes these days, they just dont get it.... It's not about fame, its not about fortune, its not about being worshiped by a mass of people.... It's about the MUSIC!!! Only a true artist will feel as much at ease infront of 50000 people just as much as playing for a young girl's birthday. Thats what sepatates true artists/musicians from pretentious posers... 😉 Its about the music and the love for playing music... ANYWHERE!! I love Jonh and his whole body of work, with the Babys, Bad English and solo. And a freaki'n love this song... 😍
