Those days, the singers appreciated good song and lyrics, no matter who wrote it. There was a camaraderie, and kinship, unlike the crap and the hatred and the bitchiness that has crept into the music industry today. Back in the day, singers even USED to sing, EACH OTHER'S SONGS...! A concept unheard of today.
