I saw John Waite in concert last night. I didn't expect too much...but was totally blown away. He sounded great, looked in shape at 71, had great stage presence, was funny, and deeply reflective at times. If you get a chance to see him---you absolutely must! He also did a fantastic version of "Whole Lotta Love"...but this song seems to embody how he is as a person. Very cool!

Nice to hear that... some of these performers/artists are preternatural. I saw Stevie Nicks live this June and she's also in her 70's and her voice sounded as strong as it did at 25. It's defies explanation! She's still a marvelous, brilliant performer. The experience was transcendental. I'm an 80's baby and there were lots of people even younger than I there! The 70's and 80's were a blessed time for music.

I remember. 51 years old. I remember the Greatness of MTV. People talk about what MTV has become. The thing is it was a product of its time. It could have never continued on just showing videos. It was lightning in a bottle. And then there were all the clones. Friday Night Videos, Night Flight, and others. Trying to explain to someone today who was born in the last 20 or 25 years what MTV was and what it meant to us is impossible. I’m just glad I was around to enjoy it. The 80’s was a great time to be a kid/teenager. It’s like trying to explain Saturday Morning Cartoons or Waiting for New Shows to premiere in the Fall. It was Magic and I miss it so much sometimes it hurts. It was really fun. I watched MTV for hours. Couldn’t wait for a “Premiere Video” or to see my favorites. Good Times.

Thank Neil Giraldo. John sang but Neil produced it and played the excellent guitar. Neil married Pat Benatar. Her music had that same gripping intensity.

This brings back memories of being the last of a LOT of kids and subsequently the last child remaining living at my parent's house, and finally getting cable TV in my town with this video reminding me of being so young, naive (I had no idea what the lines on the mirror were back then), and mesmerized by the new channel called MTV when this came out in 1982 when I was still a prepubescent. Nostalgia!

This song was perfectly used in Vision Quest! Great movie and what a killer rock track by a solo John Waite. Reminds me of HS in the 1980’s!! Great memories. Thanx John. You da man!!

The guitar on the song Change certainly sounds exactly like Neil Giraldo. Not familiar with Tim Pierce. Neil is credited with mixing and as producer.

Tim has a KZbin channel you should check out. He is an incredible guitarist. Once you hear his style it is unmistakable. For me it’s the timing. Listen to this solo and then the solo on Runaway by Bon Jovi and you might Get it. Tim has a sound.

Just saw him last week in concert, opening up for Styx and Foreigner. I'm 54 and missed out on a lot of shows when I was a teen. They all rocked it out last week and sounded amazing...I loved growing up in the 80's!

Me and my knew bride listing to this song in summer of 83, off in the distance a storm approaching maybe of things to come in our very young lives, what happened to us ? Where did we go wrong ? Hopefully you're happy where ever you are.
