Nemesis was my first “real” coaster ride at 18 years old after being scared of coasters my entire life, ended up sitting on the front row by accident and I never looked back. Thankyou Nemesis ❤

I will always remember being about 11 years old and getting off it and running straight back round to the entrance again about five times in a row due to being fortunate enough to be staying in the hotel , I went again a couple of times this year and did exactly the same thing even though I’m now nearly 40 😂 just a bit dizzier when I get off! I’ll be there again as soon as I can when it’s back , also looking forward to what else they have planned, much love for Alton towers and John for the wonderful times I’ve always had there

The Smiler opened in 2013 it's not as old as Nemesis so it won't close unless if someone loses their leg again on The Smiler or maybe even death.

If they keep the same theme it would be nice to see old pieces of track used where the fake pieces are currently around the station. If not i'm sure they will do something similar to what they did with Corkscrew. It's safe to say that Alton Towers wouldn't be what it is today without either of those coasters.

Most likely not. The clearance envelopes around the ride wouldn't allow for wider trains. Also I believe the newer wider trains require a wider track, and since the station, lift-hill and brake run track isn't being replaced the new track will not be wider than it currently is. It will get the same style trains, probably with a lighting package like the ones on Monster at Grona Lund.

Found it interesting how when she asked what else he had done he just completely pretended that smiler doesn't exist ? I guess the general public still have a negative view of it then?

The interview was PR for the park. I doubt they would have wanted it bringing up in conversation incase it brought the accident to mind and led to questions regarding it. I'm sure this was likely the reason John wouldn't have mentioned it along with the other rides.
