What is more interesting for me is it is more him realizing that it was not that his son had stolen the car, and John might have even let that go if that was all it was, but that what is driving John is much worse than wishing to get back his car. It also in a way seemed more like he had some sympathy for John, and actually even saw him as a friend in some way, then when he heard why he was after him an what the dog was just realized what he was going thru an so that there was nothing that else they could do. Even the convo sounded more like he was wanting to find a way of getting out of any more damage/death happening, and appease what he thought was John's wrath an anger.

I really loved how his friend was actually loyal to him . The way he was watching over him the whole time . Protecting him . Like a guardian . The way he shot his pillow to wake him up in the hotel . And here . Where he shoots one . And John knows that’s his friends giving him a fighting chance . That’s all he needs

I broke down crying during this scene of grief. The way he spoke on having loss and then having some semblance of Hope, only to have that taken from him. It is relatable with my own unresolved complicated grief and injustices with loss and kidnappings. It truly feels as though you have an irreparable gaping wound that only grows in size. You can't eat, can't sleep and feel guilty if you do smile or enjoy something while dealing with loss. You have no time or chance to cry, yet you are literally bleeding everywhere. You truly die inside. Although One can seem composed, the Grief is extremely sensitive, vulnerable and the Wound forever fresh. In this scene I got the feeling if I touched John in his moment of expression, he could break down and cry. Instead he was off breaking Bones. The Scene evolved into Survivor mode and he had no time to do that which further emphasized the exacerbated Pain and prolonged Grief. This resonated with me on many levels, I can't quite articulate.

I hate to say it but this is Keanu's best performance scene right here. Because his pain and anguish in the delivery of his monologue was all real emotions. That one small line after Vigo delivers his monologue about how men like them are cursed and him agreeing is such a mislead and it was perfect. Because you'd expect some quippy remark or a sly comeback that makes Vigo think maybe John's the one whose right but that simple "on this, we agree." says so much about the lives these two live. But that anger and raw emotion looking at nearly 30 years of him acting even when he tries to be angry before it's almost forced a little. But this right here? All him. All real. No more acting just displaying what he truly feels like as a broken down man. God bless Keanu Reeves.

What I find good about this movie is they John Wick serves himself only, whereas other movies like Bond ones serve a higher purpose, therefore with that out of the equation opens more ruthlessness for John Wick

I love the dynamic between Viggo and John. Viggo liked John and knows his son was a terrible idiot for what he did to him. John despised Viggo on one hand, but there was some respect on the other. And in this moment, hearing John explain what the dog was to him, Viggo truly got it, struggled to have a response, and couldn't stand to listen to him talk about it anymore. It's why even though he went back at John later, knowing John would come for him again, he still let John kill his son when he really could have just fed him wrong information. Viggo didn't even warn anyone he was coming. He just let it happen.
