@@chinyanyie Chad is the director. I don't think he would be doing any more stunts in his career as now lately. I know that he started his career doing stunts for BRANDON LEE in the crow and for KEENAU in the all the matrix plus many other films. He turned stunt coordinator through out the past mid-years of his career and then turned director for the first time for all the John Wick films. He's really made a name for himself as director with the JW films as he is now slated to direct 11 up coming projects. The guy knows his craft in martial arts as he was Brandon Lee's close friend and studied at the same martial arts school.

That's why they mesh and connected so well. Apparently the kitchen fight scene, Donnie Yen ask Chad Stahelski if he can shoot and re- choreograph the whole entire fight scene with his guys on his own time and edited his way, and if chad didn't like it they can scrap it in the bin. Chad ended up liking it and used it in the movie.

It was fascinating, how Donnie's able to create characters. Ip Man was this martial arts master, a bit locked in to tradition. In this movie, at least in the trailer, you can tell that he really wants to kill the heavyset fellow during the standoff. He's all ready to shoot him. He evokes a kind of slightly unhinged personality who has no problems with instant violence. Whatever the case, just makes me want to watch the movie even more.

Interesting, the skinny tie look is quite outdated, but fits perfectly with the perfectly coiffed almost solid hairstyle, in creating an iconic character. The fun thing is that they're not using any source material so pretty much anything goes -- no one knows what will happen because there's no unbending rules in the John Wick universe.
