I much prefer the Ethan Hunt (Mission Impossible) movies, and I prefer James Bond as a character. But I must admit, presented with the facts, John Wick is a Savage Killer.

Wick may be able to take bullets or any piercing damage due to his armored suit but Ethan also has access to bulletproof vest which may be inferior to Wick's suit however Ethan takes blunt damage that would have otherwise killed most humans. This is best exemplified when he used himself as a battering ram to smash through a train car in MI Dead Reckoning. Such force would turn a human being into a smear of gory flesh and blood but Ethan was only dizzy from such damage. IQ: Ethan Hunt literally deduces conspiracies, puzzles, and trickeries with little to no hints or clues. He literally makes sci fi level gadgetry himself and mentioned in the prequel novel to have an engineering degree and the top of his class. He was also involved in developing a high tech stealth suit in MI Operation Surma. He is shown to make trickeries, solutions, and complex scenarios all the time. This puts Ethan Hunt intellect vastly superior to Wick who has not shown any good judgement nor good decisions or even intellect, always acting out on impulses. Battle IQ: Ethan Hunt knows 13 different martials according to commentary and the MI website whereas Wick only has a meager 7. Hunt literally reads the art of war and shown to be way more adaptable in combat. While Wick may be more ruthless in a fight, however Ethan is still a better fighter. And no, fighting and killing numerous nameless fodder assassins with no feats or statements scales nowhere and doesn't make Wick a better fighter. If anything it just support my argument about Wick always acting out on impulses and more ruthless compared to Ethan's passive approach. To me, James Bond is the odd man out here. He's the only one of the 3, who is not a specialist. Ethan Hunt is a spy, and who I would call if I needed intelligence gathered. I would call John Wick if I needed someone dead. But, Bond is something else. He might be able to kill Hunt, but right afterwards, John Wick will kill him.

My money is easily on Wick. He trained since an child in Ruska Roma (russian mafia). He has years, probably even decades of experience. He is a legend in the underground. The toughest guys around, serial killer, hitman, mafias, psychopath, you name it fear and respect him. No body dares to do something and the people that do end up dead. He has more experience than the other 2 and this life just made him extremely tough. He has easily the strongest will and it's actually one of his best, if not his best quality. He survived multiple extremely tough fights with bad injuries, a normal human would have died or be crippled his life after 1 of those. He endured it and even fought against the best fighters of the underground. He did an mpossible task and got out this life. Maybe they will just all kill themselves, but I would bet my life on wick.

What people don’t understand is…John Wick in all his movies did all his feats continuously with little or no time to rest…from the first to the second…third and fourth…just a continuous story from the first movie…no extra missions just taking on steadily all the bad guys that are out for his head all in the name of “glory” and the bounty money too. Trained by Ruska Roma. You can see it in the last movie. And breaking it down like that is not honest. The whole underground is scared of wick. They even gave him a dark nick name. These people are the toughest of the toughest. Serial Killers, hitman's, psychopaths. And even they know to not mess with wick. The people who try end up all dead. Experience < training. You can train how to fight your whole life but it's still not the same as really fighting. And John wick isn't only more experienced, he is literally the best at what he does.

This is a bit skewed because Wick has definitely taken more punishment, especially in a smaller time. Ethan is still more acrobatic and is faster, but he hasn't survived falling very far without landing on his feet. John Wick severely dented a van by hitting it on the way down. Then get got up and walked away, fought up four flights of stairs, then fell down all of those stairs. Plus he was hit by two other cars earlier that night. Plus other injuries he sustained that night that I don't even remember. Wick is established to be an utter tank, while Ethan does slow down when hurt.

Death battle already proved you wrong. In terms of accuracy, skill and technique, Bond is above Wick and Hunt can also knock out guys in H2H that John has a hard time doing without weapons. The only time they will kill their enemy is if they're forced into a firefight. Ethan has dodged and blocked while incapacitating his opponents when he's restrained and handcuffed in 3 and Rogue Nation. Wick ain't owning Ethan in hand to hand and Ethan has also shot at targets while sliding down a building. Again, people only say Wick would win because Wick looks "cooler" and is more action packed. When you watch the Craig Bond films along with Mission: Impossible 2 onwards, you'll see that Wick is outclassed. Wick only has durability and enduarance. Nothing else.

Not even a comparison, put any of the spies in wicks position and you will see them get outclassed instantly. What bond and ethan do in terms of stunts is incredible, but when it comes to combat there is no comparison, John has fought ninjas, bullet proof soldiers, and survived onslaught after onslaught of assassins for weeks, taking damage and still able to shred through assassins like cheesecake. His durability and endurance alone is enough to beat both. Like you said, they prefer to incapacitate and not kill unless necessary, John's job is to kill. James and especially Ethan are likely smarter, but when it comes to combat, wick is unmatched.

Wick stomps. Bond and Hunt are very skilled, but Wick is near-invincible and is a more competent gunman and hand-to-hand combatant by far. The other two have strengths in other areas.

I think a fairer three-way would be Ethan Hunt, James Bond, and Jason Bourne. John Wick is in such a league of his own, maybe only matched by John Preston from Equilibrium, that he was basically the winner as soon as he was added.
