I’m 42 years old and this just made me cry like a baby: Memories of being a small boy with innocence, wonder and hope. Memories of watching a man I believed could fly. Memories of my late dad introducing me to a love of film. Christopher Reeves will always be Superman. But my Dad will always be a super man.
@hehhehhuhhuh701425 күн бұрын
@SnowWorries: I feel the same!! John Williams is THE musical genius of the century! Actually, the movie actor who played Superman was Christopher REEVE. The actor who played Superman in the old TV series was George REEVES.

Yeah it’s amazing and still giving specific cues to each section too 👏👏 He probably knows all the pieces inside and out at this point for him to be able to do that ~~

Never fails to invoke in me THAT feeling of after watching Superman on the big screen that a man can really fly. There will probably never be another John Williams.
A national treasure who has enriched our lives for decades. Would trade 20 million “influencers” for one Williams.

Yeah I can see it now, that someday he’ll have an immersive experience exhibit or an exhibit in the Smithsonian; or even both. This way his legacy can inspire future generations.

Brilliantly composed music characterizes exactly what we feel deeply in our hearts and didn't know was there. Superman is brought out of our hearts by this glorious music.

Everytime I listen to this song, I imagine John Williams as a musical superhero. With a baton in his hand, his movements are as graceful as a swan but faster than a hawk. His music is more powerful than any lecture from the wisest leader. And under a spotlight upon the stage, he shines brighter than brightest star in the sky. He’s the superhero who I like to call: Super Maestro! 🦸♂️🎵🎶

March fans have enjoyed the compositions of John Williams for many years. I know I will miss a couple, but how about this list - Midway March, March from “1941”, Raiders March, Superman played here, and of course, crowd favorite, The Imperial March. If you are in need of more inspiration, look up the fanfares and themes that Williams wrote for the Olympics!
@jandreid20238 ай бұрын
Composers of Williams' generation were the masters of movie marches. Sadly, it's no loner en vogue today to compose marches for films. The last good march that I've heard was the Captain America march by Alan Silvestri.
