This is why I think it's important to shred together in a tight group so you're within earshot. Avy equipment does nothing when you're the last dude in a group and you fall in a tree well. I was just thinking about that in your last video.

what happens when you can find your buddy on your beacon buried in an avalanche, but don't have a probe to pinpoint and a shovel to dig them out? poor example Johnathon, very disappointing.

no backpacks with shovel and probe? No point of carrying a beacon if you don't have the necessary equipment to save someone...

Question… what good is a beacon going to do if you can’t probe to pinpoint? Are you going to use your hands to shovel avalanche debris?

Fell into a tree well once in the back side of Vail. Could've parked a short bus in it. Luckily had a friend to pull me out. bout 10 ft. deep. Be safe bud. Cheers. Hopefully get some turns in this season.

Buckhouse! I broke my back today trying to hit the 3rd Lg jump at eldora 😢 Back to watching your videos instead of getting out there and shredding myself. Not that I'm disappointed, just in myself is all. Be careful out there man!

Hope you're alright dude, I've been going hard at eldora for the past couple of months(~3 days a week) and went from greens to the regular double black glades..(skier) Still can't find the balls to attempt jumps in that park... I've seen 3 people on a sled in the park there in the ~20-25 days I've gone these past couple months, and I haven't really been over there for the last 3 weeks.

At Mt Hood Meadows, i stalled out on a flat creek area in deep, wet, heavy snow. When i came to a stop the snow under my board started giving way. I slowly slipped into the creek until i finally hit bottom and the snow was 3-4 foot over my head. I was in like a little crevasse type thing. maybe 1.5 feet wide, 10 feet deep. It was scary in the moment. i could duck down and the crevasse thing widened a bit. I was able to unstrap, throw board out, and use my boots to kick into both sides of the snow wall and gradually climb my way out. This was on resort too. Luckily my buddy was with me at the time. That's my scariest story out there. Some ppl have way scarier and way worse stories... Be smart and stay safe out there and Keep shreddin

Yesterday I was skiing alone because none of my buddy's were there and my dad didn't want to do trees. I found my first tree well, and my right ski was buried all the way up to my hip,(Im about 6') with my foot still stuck to the ski! Easily the scariest thing ever, and I wasn't even completely buried. Just one leg!

I fell in a real deep tree well at Winter Park. It was really scary because I fell head first and and my friend just kept going. It took me a while to get myself out. I almost panicked because I couldn't unstrapp my bindings and snow just kept falling on my face. Once I found my friend I cussed him out for leaving me. He thought it was funny. I didn't think so.

Me and the homie found a kid from Texas lost on our mountain...kid went out of bounds following someone he met on the lift and went into a tree well...ended up getting out but lost the board and one boot in the process...it was a very stormy day..we found him he was cold and walking with just one boot. We got ski patrol to him but snow was so deep me and the bro had to un strapp and pull the tobagen out ..never have I been so tired and exhausted...anyways long story short that kid about lost his life and his foot that day...stay in your lane is the moral of this story

If your going in deep power get gps pinger so others can find out. But it makes an sos to ski patrol and they usually can acess the radio the gps gives off to find you. Me and my lifties in af have some if its a powder day.

I know it’s really really bad to say but why do I kinda find it funny when skiers or snowboarders get stuck in snow. Like. Hear me out when they wiggle around and then when you find them. They just sit there and like ya know. Looked like they were just ready. Like be careful be safe shred in groups but like cmonnnnn.
