For someone who’s still new to snowboarding, seeing how you break down the moves is really helpful. Thank you 😊

Loved the tips for those wanting to know the basics. (the Yell from that cold wind was priceless & so funny. Your comedic style is evolving into a real hella funny aspect of your videos. And your honesty about what you struggle with is so real and helpful. Like that you invite others to comment - cause you are willing to learn from anyone. Solid.). Keep evolving, have fun & see you tomorrow - cause it's AWESOME that it's daily on this channel.

Awesome how you’ve gotten from apartment to a house with little rideable land. My question though would be this…Is all this your land your renting that you have your backyard park set up or you get permission from neighbors? Just something I’ve wondered watching since y’all moved to new house and built back yard park.

I believe it's not such a hard trick to be honest. Some notes: 1. Don't overdo the counterrotation (turn your back arm but don't reach it out in front of you, very awkward position) 2. Feel the rail right under your front foot (it is the only way to do fs boards on kinks) 3. Focus on keeping your base flat because with your first tries because 99% chance you'll slip out on your toes. 4. Go 90° straight away, don't learn it by doing a 50-50 to fs board, it will ruin your style and coordination to do it properly later on

Why is it called a frontside board slide when you are rotating in the backside direction?

Frontside boardside is "back down the rail." Front is back, and back is front... oh my aching head trying to figure that out!

The trick name doesn't come from the way U slide the rail but the way U approach it, it's kind of in front of U
@matthewduman76872 жыл бұрын
That’s a backside board slide atleast it is in skateboarding back is facing the direction you are going making it backside but ok I think you got em backwards
@JohnathanBuckhouse2 жыл бұрын
No it’s where the rail is when you go into it. On this trick the rail is in front of my toes making it a frontside board slide. Tony hawk breaks this down really well in one of his videos.
@Stoneeee_baloney4202 жыл бұрын
OK Totoro except you got your front side and backside mixed up if you’re sliding backwards thats backside it when your chest is open that’s front side
@kevinknowlton8532 жыл бұрын
No he got it right on the video. The frontside vs backside on a boardslide has nothing to do with which direction you spin or what part of your body is facing downhill during the slide. It refers to how you approach and jump onto the rail or box as you typically approach these from the side and not head on. If you are regular and approach from the left side of the rail (looking downhill), it is your "front side" that is facing the rail during the approach, then you jump on and rotate with your back facing downhill. If you approach from the right side, it is your "back side" that is towards the rail and then you jump and rotate so that you are facing downhill. For these boardslides, just think of the name being the opposite of what you would expect.

Nah bro you got it backwards. The orientation of the rail is what dictates wether it’s a front or back board, front board because the rail is on your front side, backside because the rail is on the backside. Same works for front or back lipslide which is just like a board slide except the tail of your board goes over the rail first, so front lip the rail is on your front so it’s frontside but you are sliding backwards, back lip because the rail is behind you and you slide down backwards down the rail
