The trick to a project of this magnitude, or really of any magnitude, is to enjoy the process, and you certainly seem to be doing that. Kudos!! I hope that when you get done, that you don't cover it because it would hide all the amazing detail. If you do cover it, by sure to take copious pictures while not covered to display with the finished product.
