I’m with John-Sophie Turner as Lara Croft feels like a big miscast. Honestly, Hayley Atwell would’ve been perfect. She’s already the voice in the Netflix series and has the presence to nail the role Plus, there are a couple other reasons…😂

John and I are thinking the same thing about Denzel..The character he's thinking of is name Tetu. Maybe he would be T'Chanda father of T'Chaka and Grandfather to T'Challa and Shuri. But that would mean he'd be one of the Ancestor Spirits...Not a lot they'd be able to do with that..Best scenario in my Opinion he'd be a villain like Tetu..He was a Wakanda Rebel that was exiled.

After seeing her starring in 'Joan' on ITV1, I'd say Sophie Turner has the acting chops. And I think I'm definitely more qualified to rate her ability (having actually watched her in more recent roles), than Campea has. Following her unhappy & messy marriage & divorce, she rightly decided to gtfo of Hollywood/US & spend time with her children, so chose for a time to put parenting above being an actress. Judging her for not having a lot of acting roles, in this context, is inane.

I think if you're basing Sophie's acting on GoT and X-Men, then it does seem like a strange choice. However, after finishing Joan a couple of weeks ago, I'd say don't be so quick to overlook her. The fact that she hasn't been in any mega-hits the last few years tells you she must be doing something that makes her stand out. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with this.

Her acting comes across as lazy and privileged. It worked for Sansa but when she pulled it out for the Phoenix it was like OH she can't act. She acts the spoiled princess because that is her personality.
