I enjoyed watching this because you obviously had so much fun doing this! Thanks for sharing.

ha ha yeah...I suppose I did. Pulling out all of those dang staples was somewhat satisfying. Still have the seat by the way....and still love it.

Standard seat tips me forward and crushes my nads against the tank. I need something sculpted more to prevent the forward movement. I'll tinker with it over Winter. Greetings from London, UK

Thanks for the vid, my wife and I love our bike but hate the stock seat. It is too soft and made for riders with short legs. I have a 32" leg and my knees ride on the tank cutout ridge. I thought about the high seat for that reason but the standard seat seems to do well for you. Does the standard seat give you good comfort on long trips and does it help get the knees off the tank cutout ridge?

Man, looks great! May have to do that to mine. I feel like my stock seat forces me forward just a bit. Did yours do that and if so did the seat concepts fix it? The seat concepts seat I put on my DR350 is the single best think I've done to it hands down! Appreciate the video man, subscribed today!

Thanks for the video! I’ve been looking for a taller seat for my Himalayan. I’m 6’5” so this should work great.
@On2Feet2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I would definitely recommend for your height going with the tall seat. Andy over at @MotosCadesCoffee has the tall Seat Concepts seat on his Himalayan and may be able to offer some feedback regarding his experience. Here's the link for the tall seat (I'll warn you, they are bit pricey): seatconcepts.com/products/royal-enfield-himalayan-tall?rq=yr_2021~mk_royal-enfield~md_himalayan-401

Thanks for the shout out. Yup, I’m 5’9” and still like the tall seat!

I hope you dig it! I also use an air hawk on super long trips along with my seat concepts tall seat. :D

Good idea. I have the SC tall seat and while it's much better than the stock one, I still feel like I need more cushion.

Hi thanks for the ace video if you don't mind me asking what's your inside leg measurement just trying to decide between the standard an tall :) getting my Himalayan at weekend greetings from the uk

I wear 32" pants, but I suspect my actual inseam is more like 31.5"

I have the tall version which I scored new off eBay because the guy sold his Himalayan before the seat arrived. No long wait for me! While it's a huge improvement over the stock seat, I think I'm going to add more cushioning for longer trips. I actually just ordered a Purple brand seat cushion to test out.

Definitely a great way to score one of the seats! Another commenter noted that they use an air hawk pad in addition to the seat for longe rides as well. I plan to take the bike out for a longer ride next weekend to really get a sense of the comfort level. Regardless, I will probably use this new seat on my Colorado trip next month.
@Ohio_Motonaut2 жыл бұрын
@@On2Feet Yep, I saw that. I don't sit well for long periods of time in the first place so it's a struggle. Have you tried wearing padded bike shorts? I picked a pair to test out. Might help a bit.

Well how is the seat concepts seat performing?
@On2Feet2 жыл бұрын
So far I’ve really been liking it! I think it does raise the seat height very slightly due to it being wider, but in longer trips, I’ve definitely noticed a difference in the comfort

Oh man, I’m dealing with this right now. On a trip around Lake Michigan with the touring seat and still getting a little sore.
@On2Feet2 жыл бұрын
yep...the touring seat is great, and I've had no problems with it around here. BUT, last summer when I did a multi-day trip to Colorado, my back side definitely got a bit numb.

Can we have an update on your Brompton?????
@On2Feet2 жыл бұрын
Haha yes! Apologies for keeping the brompton in the shadows. The short story is that it’s been running great and I do still use it regularly for work commuting. I’m definitely still really glad I bought it. I did install a small cup holder on it as well ;-)

Oh man...I guess the age is really catching up to me! When I hit my 40's I guess that silver fox just couldn't wait any longer to come out....haha. I would imagine the stress of teaching dozens of graduate students also is somewhat to blame here...
