The interviewer lets her speak (a rarity then and now!) and she's enchanting to listen to... confident and self-deprecating all at once. Thanks for uploading this!

Maureen O’Hara, my favorite Hollywood actress of the Golden Age. I loved her self respect and her spunk, which she still had quiet visible in this interview. “Stick with your dreams!”

Loved every movie that I ever saw her in. Just one beautiful lady that acted like the lady she really was. McClintock is one of my favorites. Her last movie with Richard Thomas was a wonderful story and have watched it several times. She was up in years but still one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. May she rest in peace.

The term Legend these days is used so widely and so unjustified. Maureen o Hara was a legend in every sense of the word.

My Mom was approximately her age group originally from Germany. The accents are a little different but the character, integrity, and humor are identical.

Your mom must be a class act to be like Maureen 😊
@discernment89633 жыл бұрын
@@emmettcoop1Thank you, she was kind of no nonsense like her, and there was even a slight physical similarly. Honestly though the majority of the parents brought us up (not that I/we ever resembled Angels) pretty traditionally, the Golden Rule etc.

Maureen did her own stunts, the stuntmen loved her, she was kind to them & she liked doing stunts. You'd never see any of the spoiled female actresses do their own stunts now days, too afraid of breaking a fingernail or getting dirty. In the Quiet Man Maureen was dragged thru Sheep dung, No actress would do that now. She really was that Best Guy John Wayne ever knew, his quote.
