Really agree with you guys on kids needing to enlist or go to a third world country. I am a 22 year old from Oregon, grew up in a rich part of the state. Instead of college, I did trade school. At one point I realized my conservative background was good, but I need better world view. Last summer I quit my job to live in a very poor, hot part of India for three months. Absolutely changed my way of thinking. Made me less selfish, and much more grateful for the freedoms we have in the states. This year, I three months doing the same in nepal. Currently, I am back in south Asia again for the next three months, I look to enlist once I get back. Keep up the good work, and I appreciate the raw less than Pc facts you guys offer.

An old friend of mine had a co-worker that told him about chicken in a drawer. Long story short he would get it on with the chicken and at the critical time he would slam the chicken's head in a drawer. No shit. This world is so messed up and that story is 30 plus years old. There is no telling how far its gone passed that now. Now you have that picture in your head now . No need to thank me.

The TRUTH about the Chicken. From Clint:" With John's permission he told me I could post here and so here is the chicken story. We know a very good ER doc that was working one night in San Diego and a gentleman came in with a trench coat on and he said he had an "issue". THE ISSUE was he not able to remove HIS pet chicken..from his privates. Now the BAD part.. he was UPSET that his favorite chicken was killed during the removal from his privates. So there ya go ...There ARE Chicken rapists out there in the world. Tip for the day...Don't be a chicken rapist ..Clint"

Kinda like my grandpa. He used to be a very hard mean man. I was homeschooled, and grew up about 100 yards from his house. From literally as far back as I can remember I was (by choice) by his side when he stepped out of the truck till late evening seven days a week. I think it’s fair to say he literally raised me. He worked me hard and his teaching methods were in no way easy or simple. Some would call it abuse but it never bothered me. Many times people ask me how I could stand to be around him. It was simple, he wants things done right and right now, and was very loud and bad at giving instruction. I guess I just learned to interpret and understand what he was trying to say. I’ve always known he loves me and he always would, has, and will do anything for us. The extreme variety of what he’s taught me surprises me all the time. If I run into something he didn’t directly teach me he’s taught me how to figure it out. One of his best quotes is “ if you know how something works you can figure out the problem is and how to fix it”.

You're right, i carry a knife everyday since i was 15, (i'm 53 now). Always on me, never used it until the day when it saved my life avoiding me a fight with 7/8 drunk people... Cause in France you can't bear arms for self defense. Even the knife would have get me in court for using it to defend myself even confronting multiple aggressors... Laws suck in France. But i'm a proud gun owner (3 precision riflles a shotgun two handguns) and fight for my rights everyday... Never let your gun rights away. The second amendment is the founding of your liberty. Don't let it go! From France. 🖖🏻😎🇫🇷😇🖖🏻

@shlomo kikebherger Yes, psychologists created it. Political correctness grew right out of the psychology profession. They are the ones who advocated "sensitivity" and extreme concern for the "feelings" of others. etc. They are also behind the "hands off" approach to parenting that lead to the generation wimpy, helpless, immoral Millennials. It amazes me that nobody ever talks about all the "Social movements" and "Social philosophies" that grew out of the psychology profession. These people have a lot to answer for and nobody is holding them accountable.

The ancient Romans approve of your comment. When the Gauls tried to enter the citadel of Rome after the battle of Allia, the geese sounded the alarm, the dogs did not. “If you don’t stop imitating me. I’m going to stab you you right in the heart. OK?” Classic. I took a couple of courses with Clint Smith many years ago in Texas. I learned a lot. I learned that I didn’t know shit. His hard exterior, developed through life experiences and learning what works, hides a cerebral thinker. Do Not underestimate the value of that character trait. He adapts his teaching to the student. That is his true talent.

You've got a lot of great times ahead of you. I remember a Delta guy here on You Tube saying that his buddy told him, prior to SF selection, "There's nothing that we do, that you can't do." Now he was already a Ranger at that time, but the point is I could relate to that because through BCT, AIT, NCO academy schools, etc. there was nothing we couldn't do. Challenging? Oh hell yeah! But that guy said that no matter how tough anything seemed at the time, he just remembered those words, and it got him through. Thanks for your future service. You will do just fine.

You are bound for a hassle. However, at the age of 18 and right out of high school, you will probably not have a full appreciation and comprehension of the monumental stupidity of what will be inflicted upon you and those with you. Therefore, you will be able to maintain a more positive attitude. I went through the Infantry School at Fort Benning back in the winter and spring of '82 at the age of 33. I started to learn even before getting off the bus from Fort Jackson that the two most cardinal Army values in real life are cruelty and stupidity. I saw them stressed, practiced, and enforced over and over again throughout my 12-year career in the Army National Guard, Army Reserve and active duty Regular Army. That was most especially the case with the Regular Army. Veterans of previous wars before Desert Storm had told me that all the Mickey Mouse would be forgotten when I got up to where the battle roared. Never happened. It seemed that the powers that were over the company level cared not for anything except that which was petty, Mickey Mouse, and stupid. Their dedication was to maliciously harassing and persecuting the men and entrapping them in violations..

"I'm a pretty nice guy. I own a goose..." LMAO! Fucking Clint Smith! Thank you! And FYI, Marines have always been instrumental in the development and implementation of Close Air Support. They were on the forefront of these tactics when the technology was in its infancy, going clear back to the 1920s in Nicaragua, and has always been a priority to them. Other services viewed aircraft as primarily a means of deep interdiction and favored long range bombing raids behind enemy lines while Marines were constantly trying to get assets for support missions. Close Air Support is something the Marines have always been good at and cared about. Semper Fi!

The thing about interservice rivalry is that is normally just joking. To an outsider or some E1 it could seem bad. And all that goes away real fast on the field. As a Marine I worked with all branches, including some Brits and Aussies. If you're eating the same dirt, you are family.

We had some SEALs in my Airborne class in 1981. Jump school was allegedly their last training needed for full certification. There was NOTHING the Black Hats could do to them, they were sooooo in shape. Their comments and back and forth with the instructors were hilarious and great for morale.
@dwmorris
@dwmorris 4 жыл бұрын
I'm a Cold War/Desert Storm Army vet. Interservice rivalry was a thing then too, but it was all in fun. Between us, we would give each other the shit, but let any civilian harass any any of and it was a united "game on." We're all brothers (including the sisters) and we'd die for each other. And speaking of air support, as the tip of the VII Corps spear in Desert Storm (3/2 ACR) my favorite guy was our ALO. He was a badass airman. I'll never forget the joy and relief of watching the A10's come in low and slow with our AH1's to take out an enemy artillery battery that was dropping DPICM on us. My oldest daughter served 8 years as a Marine. Attending her graduation at Parris Island was one of the proudest moments of my life, but I still give her and the crayon-eaters a poke every once in awhile.

@JoshBenware
@JoshBenware 6 жыл бұрын
Steve Bruce I do train. I've done 12 or 13 classes so far. I've talked to people who were anti training and have changed their minds, because I didn't come off as some stuck up my own ass, holier than thou tactitard that can't relate to people without training. To clarify, I'm talking about the extreme morons that say crap like "You shouldn't even carry if you don't get training" and try to force it on everyone. The guys who take themselves way to seriously because they think they are superior, when the truth is that some nobody punk could take any of us out if the circumstances were not on our favor. But, yes, you are right that some people will just never train...most people will just not want to or will procrastinate and never do it.

Voda is the best, 10/10. On a serious note, check out John McPhee, Robert Keller, Tu Lam and Pat Macnamera. All of these men were Delta operators. John McPhee was was a Ranger and SF in the 90s and then joined Delta and was a sniper there. Robert Keller was SF, (I think), and then went to Delta. Tu Lam was a Ranger, SF, and Delta, he was an assaulter and (I think) he was an intel guy at one point. Pat Macnamera was SF and then went into Delta. All of these guys make videos and train people. In fact, you can have John McPhee come out to a place of your choosing to train you and a small class in your area.
