I think it is also important to note she used used "a lotta love" to match the cadence of the line prior to Mama. She says it fast it sounds like she sounds like "love love" to match "mama"

I’m really loving the sound of the new album and this song of course! It’s so cute and just perfectly blended you know what I mean? Like her vocals don’t overpower the instrumental...this song sounds like a whole idk how to explain it😂 and the whistle notes are so perfectly blended too that it’s hard to notice it! The harmony at the end gives me chills. The cricket sounds are just...idk how but they sound really nice in the track! Very beautifully explained and now we want the whole album sir!😂✨

of course ariana doesn't disappoint, but the production of "positions" truly shines. i love how you briefly touched on how the team wasn't lazy and didn't simply throw in reverb in sections of the second verse. i love that they put in the time to really make specific subtle changes to enhance the song and shake up the expectations. this is important to note for producers and singers. don't get lazy. take a risk and just try something crazy before resorting to "let's just copy and paste."
