My only issue with Marcus is that he mispronounces so many words. 'Turmeric' and 'celeriac' spring to mind but there are numerous others.

I remember watching it, 2/10 was a bit harsh as it nullified any chance on the other three courses. Marcus Wareing has mellowed though since working on Masterchef... didn't know it had affected Johnnie so much, if you are a top proven chef anyway, I don't know why you would be so bothered about one harsh judgement from a top chef on one dish, people have different opinions on food...one person's michelin 3 star dish is another person's 'what the hell is this gimmicky, disgusting, over-priced rubbish?' Marcus Wareing seems a nice guy to me, but he is strict and television has too many 'everyone's a winner' types.

Sure he is a nice guy and good chef, but I remember the dish and thought it was bad judgement, too gimmicky 2/10 maybe a little harsh but didn't deserve much more than that and Marcus knows what he is talking about... it made for great television drama, so he can be proud of that, and he came back to encourage the other chefs too. But the Great British Menu is a badly designed program as they show you everything from the beginning so is a bit stupid, no suspense. And that footage seems to have been removed from youtube too which is also idiotic.

He did not deserve a 2/10. Marcus the ‘judge’ was obnoxious and did not deserve to destroy a peer. Shameful conduct by the judge. If the judge did not like Johnny’s cooking, just score him slightly lower than the other two competitors. No excuse whatsoever to destroy a peer in public.

Sharin Ruba his fish dish absolutely sucked. The whole point of the course was to have an actual bit of fish on it not just elements of fish and anchovies. Yeah 2/10 maybe was a bit harsh but he completely missed the point and Marcus on a few occasions pointed it out to him

Should've had a 4/10 minimum for the aesthetic. It was beautiful to be honest, but that's not the essence of food
