The song City of New Orleans was written by the great Steve Goodman who died way too early - in his early 30es. Listen to this sweet man sing his own song. He deserves it and so does the song. But most of all, he is a treasure that you deserve to find.

I was fortunate to meet Willie when his band played a private concert for my company. I saved his Coors beer bottle and he autographed it for me. I lit a cigarette for him and kept the match. Took a great side by side pic with him. This was over 40 years ago. Red Headed Stranger is so super!!

Your daughter is so lucky to have a Dad like you! I play the Guitar only. I have a Fender Strat, and Taylor acoustic. Years ago I played my classical, but at 72, it is not as easy to do anymore. What a shame that Waylon Jennings wasn't included with this trio as he too was one of the Highwaymen and had a wonderful rich voice. For me, they were the world's best country group. True legends. I 💗💗💗💗 their 1990 concert Live at Nassau Coliseum and listen to some of it every day. Willie turns 89 on 29 April 2022. He's still singing and sounds much the same as he always did. He's currently touring and has about 19 more concerts planned for 2022. What a guy.
