Johnny Depp lawyer's feisty cross-examination of David Spiegel IN FULL. Things get very feisty indeed on Day 20 of the Johnny Depp Amber Heard trial as Johnny Depp's lawyer Wayne Dennison cross-examines psychiatrist Dr David Spiegel. Johnny Depp's lawyer asked Dr Spiegel about whether the psychiatrist called the Pirates of the Caribbean actor an 'idiot' as well as a few other pointed questions.

I see what you did here. But you're missing one thing, he didn't explain how he arrived at his conclusions but stated that the foundation the Goldman rule lies wouldn't allow psychiatric evaluation in most courtroom proceedings. Furthermore, even with the rule applied, it merely states that an armchair diagnosis can not be given on the basis of *public* record. He also had access to private/confidential records. And last of all: he hasn't provided a diagnosis with respect to the term "professional opinion".

The double-speak this psychiatrist is engaging in is nuts. He emphatically claims he isn't being unethical because he isn't making a diagnosis, then emphatically claims it is what he is thinking and that it is splitting hairs to make a differentiation between the traits and a diagnosis. Not to mention he is incredibly argumentative. what a bizarre expert witness to call. He isn't helping Amber's case at all.

And I couldn’t help but notice that neither of them, not even Amber’s team, even came close to referencing this guy or using anything that he said. Happens all the time. I remember 1 expert witness, also a doc, testified in a cold case. One of the questions was somthing like, "did you write an autopsy 20 years ago saying this type of head trauma had to be inflicted by another person"? (Because the Dr was saying the opposite at that point) The Dr responded, "Maybe. Probably actually, back then I hadn't seen it enough & wasn't nearly as experienced as now. I made that mistake a lot back then" Well... your medical opinion back then made him a murder suspect, and although they didn't have enough evidence the cold case officer working the case had a million notes about his guilt, and built a case that shouldn't have been built.

@@maryriley8077 you saying his comment didn't keep up with the standards of a professional is hearsay at best. You can't even properly prove that. This is just your emotional reaction to his response, which he was well within his rights to question. Idk what gave you guys the idea that "professionals" must act "professionally." They professionals for their knowledge, not their attitude
