I met JD and spent an afternoon with him in Oklahoma City like 26-27 years ago. I worked for a wedding chapel and JD was part of make a wish foundation. A couple that was getting married had a son with leukemia who requested JD to be his new daddy’s best man. We all sign disclaimers and stayed quiet with the media. He came in on Saturday and spent the whole afternoon with the couple. He even went out of his way to speak to each of us that worked the wedding. He acted as though my little life mattered. He was kind, very gentle and respectful. When he found out the couple wasn’t going on a honeymoon because of medical expenses. jD would not let it go. He flew this couple any where they asked to go and paid every dime of the honeymoon. He paid the medical bills and took the boy in his limo to Toys R Us and let the boy buy whatever he wanted. I feel in love that day with this fantastic human being. I do not believe the lies she is telling

No one really cared that she would punch me slap me kick me scream in my face throw things at me and degrade me because she is a woman. And of course I never reported her as a man and a protector one it would be embarrassing to ask for help because a woman is hitting you into having the police take my daughters mother to jail would of been very difficult for my daughters to see you. I did call the police on her three times because she wouldn’t stop hitting me but I never told them she was hitting me I just told them that she was out of control. I know I didn’t handle it right I just try to not let my three daughters see how out of control their mother was so I am also guilty of making excuses for her it’s amazing how much abuse a person will take oddly enough you just kinda get used to it as a man And try to live your life the best you can until you can be free of it.

I worked for a company here in Canada that specialized in providing security services for special celeb & political events back in the late 80’s & 90’s. Although I met several celebs while working during press junkets, (premiere events, etc), I unfortunately never had the privilege of meeting Johnny during any of the ones he attended at the time - but I must say that (especially when compared to the way many of the celebrities treated the “hired help”), I was able to personally observe a massive difference when it came to Mr. Depp in comparison to many other well-known celebs re: how he acted & spoke to the people around him. He was always incredibly kind, polite and patient to everyone around him, and refused to allow any strong-arming or bullying towards anyone, staff or fan, by his private security or PA’s (which happens much more often at these sorts of things than most folks probably realize). It never comes as a surprises me to hear from people that he’s continued to be this way but I am always so glad to hear or read the same from someone who actually knows him. Mr. Depp has always seemed (to me) to be a kind & decent man, and tbh I’ve felt at a gut level right from the start that AH’s claims were complete nonsense. It also didn’t surprise me to find out she was the abuser, not the victim - I haven’t worked in security or frankly in any capacity in this area of work for quite some years now, but still have friends who do. Although most are very careful to stick to the industry standard re: privacy/confidentiality, word can (and generally does) eventually filter out within the community when it comes to those with a history of being problematic at events - particularly when it means they’ll likely require special handling. AH apparently has earned herself quite the reputation of being difficult & at times even downright abusive towards both those working directly for her or behind the scenes at events she’s attended in the past (ie: other celeb PA’s, booking staff, security, catering, etc).

Officer Melissa Saines is a star! She is the most damning witness against Amber Heard in this trial. I think this case is opening a lot of people's eyes, especially women's. It's such a shame that it took until 2022 for many people to realize that men can be victims of marital abuse as well. I was talking to my mother about the trial and her response was "Wow, what kind of a man get's hit by his wife?". And after she saw how visibly upset I was, I explained the entire situation and how this has been happening since the dawn of time, but men are shamed and ashamed of ever talking about it. After our talk she realized how backwards her line of thinking was and apologized.

As someone's whose been in an abusive relationship with a woman, one who even once threatened to call the police on me when I was trying to get my stuff from her place, I am rooting for Johnny here. People who have been through this can see clear as day the tell-tale signs of an abusive manipulator, down to the TEXTBOOK begging to come talk so "I can apologize". Protip: NEVER EVER accept, because the word 'sorry' will never cross their lips, and they will go right back to their old shit, or worse, hold you emotionally hostage w/ some insane bullshit, or just straight up assault you. I could have easily gone to jail that night, as a distressed half black man sitting locked outside of a white woman's door (my keys were locked inside too). The precedent for female abusers to misuse law enforcement and court of public opinion to abuse their partners is very apparent now, and hopefully this trial affects change in that.

All you people unfortunate enough to get drawn into a relationship with an abuser, once you've decided to leave never ever meet them without a witness. Retain all evidence of written, verbal communication. Do not give them an opportunity to claim you assaulted them, they will definitely try to do that. Protect yourselves and do not be drawn into discussion or contact with them without another person being present. These people are dangerous but especially dangerous to you.

I was never in an abusive relationship, but I did live with a narcissist aunt for a while who dragged me to court on three false charges solely because she couldn't control me like she did my cousin (her son). Much like Amber Heard, my aunt was confident that she'd prevail in court. And much like Heard, my aunt didn't really prepare and suddenly lost her confidence in court. The judge saw through it all and threw out her case. She was simply being vindictive because I wouldn't let her control me in exchange for letting me stay in her home for a few months. I hope you're healing and staying away from crazy. Crazy women aren't rare at all. They're all over the place.

I find it extremely interesting how AH’s forensics psychologist continue to use the term “her” as the victim and “him” as the perpetrator instead of referring to the victim as the “victim” and perpetrator as the “perpetrator”. With all her years of experience and being board certified as a subject matter expert, I have to believe it is not an accident that she continually refers to rolls in an abusive context in such a way as to purposefully attempt to bias the jury.

to my understanding cases involving abusive women are rarer, because men are more prone to be abusive. so the abusing women use that very fact to silence their victim. also there is the matter pride and shame, it is a lot harder for a man to become aware and accept that he is a victim, and later act on it. of course society usually in these situation accept the women more easily, because statistically they usually are the victim. that's why i believe john is being brave, he is going against a very biased public court and is willing to reveal his mental and physical scars to the world.

@vahidoph2 жыл бұрын
@@cuttlefish6839 two things: 1- "amber maneuver" is a great and apt name for this type of behavior. it should be a thing. 2- I agree with you. my point is that in the case of abuse people tend to believe the women, because we see more of those cases. the only way to change or temper that viewpoint is for male victims to come forward more often, which is a lot harder for them, because in our culture men are raised to "suck it up" or "walk it off'. so there is an element of shame. i think for every single case of "amber maneuver" we see 20 opposite cases. and we have no idea what the correct ration is. biases are very hard to change.
@Ruiluth2 жыл бұрын
@@vahidoph Respectfully, the opinion you're stating is the very reason people like Johnny don't get justice. Men are not more prone to be abusive, but our culture teaches women to speak out and men to hide it. Abusive women are just as common as abusive men, but men are less likely to speak up about it. The common perception is what you stated, but it's not the truth and it's in fact very harmful and toxic. I would recommend that you go through the comments sections of any JD/AH trial video and see all the men in the comments coming out of the woodwork to talk about how they were abused but didn't think they could talk about it.
