It's so obvious that she has been memorizing this bad script and practicing it in the mirror. It comes off as a ridiculous daytime soap opera scenerio. She really has no telltale signs of abuse that everyone that's gone through it has. She sits proud and makes eye contact and projects her voice. right! For someone who endured punch after punch after punch... unfortunately once in my life- but actually fortunate it was only once, I got punched in the head by a man. I am not a wimp, I am a tough girl... but a female is just no match for a punch from a man. I was actually knocked out for a min or two & I spent the next day crawling every where I wanted to go because the vertigo was so bad.. I thought I would tip over & also throw up if I didn't crawl. The audio they mentioned no injuries to her whatsoever and were talking amongst themselves when she was talking in the other room to someone else.Kipper said "This is guilt,she admitted to throwing the bottle" Debbie gave her Seroquel and she started packing for the flight home the next morning. They were saying someone strong had to fly with her in case she"kicked off" because she's mentally unstable,she didn't want to leave Johnny,she kept saying"He needs me"! She then walked into the room and grabbed her phone and turned off the recording. Why she kept it is interesting,because it's clearly not flattering to her character,and definitely doesn't fit her story of injuries. But (I think and hope) what she was trying to say is that the way amber is describing things sounds like he’s just snapping out of nowhere and she’s done nothing wrong. Now that absolutely can and does happen, but from a victim’s/survivor’s perspective, it’s hard wired that we are at the very least somewhat to blame or embarrassed in some way for how we behaved. Have you ever been through this yourself? Post separation abuse can be more painful than physical and emotional abuse from within the relationship. Abuse post separation in the form of victim shaming and blaming is all part of the cycle of abuse. The abuse doesn't always stop when the relationship ends. It changes form.
