Johnny Gill has always been a baritone, he started as a teenager and Motown loved him but his voice wasn't for bubble gum. They then paired him with Stacey Lattisaw and they made great music

LOL, Johnny was proving he could dance too. All of the members of New Edition had an album out and it was a flood of good music, good competition. I must admit Johnny had me laughing, he was dancing & jammin' so hard in this video. He def proved his point 😆. Janet's producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis produced this song. My fav on this album was Fairweather Friend; 😊I loved the beat & the lyrics meant a lot to me at the time. Followed by Wrap My Body Tight.

Johnny is my favorite R&B male vocalist so he can do no wrong to me, especially in the 90's. Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis wrote and produced this. When he hooked up with Jam & Lewis (and Babyface secondarily), it was GAME OVER. This was his first solo hit after he joined New Edition. An underrated uptempo song is "A Cute, Sweet Love Addiction" (Jam & Lewis written/produced). Side-note: he was wearing that outfit to keep up with Eddie Murphy's red leather outfit in "Raw." He is NOT known as a dancer, so you can keep up with him. 😁
