I cried a lot listening to this song years ago realizing I cant turn back the clock. We all miss our youth. Im turning 60 this Jan2022. Age Is just a number when your heart remains the same. Take care of your body cuz you only have one. Take care of your spirit if not you will be destroyed by the enemy. Stay strong and hopeful.💜💜💜🥰

I am still in my 30's but I wish if I could go back to my 20's.. Age is just a number but memories are remaining the same.. What we have done and what we have said are remaining forever.. So fill your heart and soul with the best and always take your time for others..

I cant claim that this was part of my youth. I am 37 years old now but. Have only come across 3 ajohnny Hates Jazz songs in my time as a band keyboardist (2008-22). We play old/classic songs from the 60s tp 90s although we also have modern ones like Maroon 5. The script, U2. But my exposure to bands made me love classic songs like this. Evwn my cover songs on my youtube channels are mostky classics.

@@redfullpack I'm 54 now and never had kids, but I always told my niece and nephew the same thing when they were growing up. I'd see the same baffled look on their faces that I probably gave my dad. When you're young, you can't wait to turn 16 so you can drive, and then it's 21 so you can drink. But now, 34 years later, I look back and wonder, "Where did all the time go?"

DITTO my friend ! I just turned 78 in April. I tried to live and love all I could in the 60's. I was drafted and never knew if I'd come back. I loved everywhere and with everyone I could ! I wanted to experience as much life as I could. In 1977, I met the love of my life. We were together for 40 years until they passed away in 2017. If I could turn back the clock, I'd do it in an instant ! It was the BEST part of my life.

I grew up in the 80s. Decent pubs and night clubs, superb music, affordable beer😁🍺 I've had my times, no regrets. Wish I could turn back the clock for this generation, iPhone and I Instagram, zero hr contracts, extortionate rents/house prices, we've let it all go down the pan for the next generation. 😔

Another day is ended And I still can't sleep Remembering my yesterdays I begin to weep If I could have it over Live my life again I wouldn't change a single day I wish that I could turn back the clock Bring the wheels of time to a stop Back to the days when life was so much better Lying here in silence Picture in my hand Of a boy I still resemble But I no longer understand And as the tears run freely How I realize they were the best years of my life I wish that I could turn back the clock Bring the wheels of time to stop Back to the days when life was so much better You might say it's just a case of giving up No But without these memories where is the love Where is the love If I could have it over Live my life again I wouldn't change a single day I wish that I could turn back the clock Bring the wheels of time to a stop Back to the days when life was so much better Why can't I turn back the clock Bring the wheels of time to a stop Back to the days Oh no no I remember when Life was so good I'd go back if I could Oh oh I wouldn't change a single day Don't let the memories slip away I wouldn't change a single day Don't let the memories slip away

Even though this is one of my top 5 Favourites from the 80's - I haven't heard it in a few Years. Listening to each - I sit mesmerized, it's as if I'm frozen in time - filled with Love and Emotion for those who are no longer with us - and missing the times we had - something our Kids will never ever understand. To think the 80's was 40 Years ago - Time has absolutely flown by - and it often makes me realize just how short our Time on this Planet really is. Tell the ones who matter, that you Love them - and tell them everyday. It can all end in a Whisp. Love to you all.

you nailed it when you said our kids will never understand. Im 48 and I truly think that in the history of life, being a teenager in the 80s was simply beautiful. Sending love notes through the mail, actually buying tapes and CDs. Running to your local Kmart when a new album came out....of course you try to steal it but the white plastic thing it was in was too big lol....as music evolves it makes me love my 80s more and more....thanks for your thoughts Barron...
