I am a Mexican-Asian woman who is with a very patriotic, blue collar, country American man and he has introduced me to "real country", this is one of my favorites so far!!! This song brought me to tears and he looked at me and said "what you feel is pride" and i guess he is right. This country has so much going on right now, and as much as I want to say "hey vote for this person".. No room for that here. Just enjoy this music. Close your eyes and feel your heartbeat. Thank you God. I am proud to be American, this is the greatest country in the world.

This is a beautiful song, iv seen gods miracles, when my old man was dying of cancer, god gave us the opportunity to say goodbye. The night my dad passed away I got the sudden urge to pray before bed, so we got together. My mom, sis and i sat down in front of my dads bed and prayed, wished him a good night and an hour later he passed away. God didint heal my dad because it was his time. But he took it easy on me and my family and let us say goodbye. Iv learned not too many people get to say goodbye to their loved ones and I got that miracle. In Jesus name, amen.

This song should have been released to radio and easily went Top 40. But Nashville is so full of shitty Pop Country singers like Luke Bryan artists with real talent like Johnny Lee will probably sadly never see another Top 40. What an incredible song this is not to mention the album it is attached to.
@quentindugger53895 жыл бұрын
And what "Luke does" is not Country Music. Plain and simple.
@quentindugger53895 жыл бұрын
That last part i'll attest to. You do have to keep making records to have a chance at chart success. To each their own I suppose.

4yrs late to this party... Well he's right Country is Country+Pop these days. I guess that attracts a bigger crowd - singing about girls and beer. Who cares about nature or sunsets or coyotes. Not hating on anyone.

I seen a man on TV he was out in California Talkin' bout where we came from He said the reason we're all here Is purely accidental, The evidence all points to evolution Well, I took a drink of coffee, Stepped out on my front porch Looked up at the sky and out at my old horse and I thought He ain't never seen a sunset out west a cactus or A paintbrush bloom in the springtime He ain't never seen a coyote crying young colt take Of running in the sunshine Well sometimes we over think it, But I've thought a lot about it And the only thing that makes any sense is If you don't believe in God, You ain't never been to Texas I wish all the non believers could cross that old red river Cause it would open up their eyes When I wake up every morning and I look out at heaven Lord it ain't hard to recognize If there's anybody out there still trying to figure out Exactly where we came from and what life is all about, I'd say You ain't never seen a sunset out west a cactus or a Paintbrush bloom in the springtime You ain't never seen a coyote crying young colt take Of running in the sunshine Well sometimes we over think it, But I've thought a lot about it And the only thing that makes any sense is If you don't believe in God, You ain't never been to Texas Well if you don't believe in God, You ain't never been to Texas
