The people with the sob stories also usually have issues with travel or disrupting their life to go to the judge cuts or whatever the next rounds are, so if you have been blessed with the personal stability and talent ability that performing in another round isnt detrimental to you, then they dont get the buzz through. Its not like he was really in danger of getting cut, and being called someone's golden buzzer pick is usually a bigger detriment to you if you have a shit follow up performance

This is one of the most amazing covers of this song I have ever heard. And he did not even lower the key, he did sing it in Whitneys key - absolutely outstanding interpretation, control and tone - what a voice. Somebody needs to tell him that he does not even need the fkn music industry to show the world his music and who he is. Go the Prince way, Johnny, keep control of your stuff and you will be very, very fine. Blessings from Europe!
