Yes, someone once said that Whitney was not an artist, she was a fluke, a great singer who never played an instrument or wrote a song. Of course Whitney’s version was perfect but when I hear other people covering it they often go for the power notes and ignore the desperate vulnerability that Whitney sang with. I’ve watched and listened to all Johnny’s KZbin stuff........he really is so superb and certainly good enough to be there at the very top. However I think no matter how good you are in the music business you need luck and the right sponsorship. Judging by comments Simon Cowell has made about him, he thinks Johnny is a great voice to do big voice headlining on Broadway or live cover versions but not to be the real deal like Whitney. Personally I don’t agree.......I’d love to see Johnny really make it to the top and, if nothing else, prove Cowell so very wrong! Go Johnny! Brilliant, man!
