Usually, Koreans are incredibly kind-hearted people in the world. But if you've heard of the Rooftop Koreans during the LA riots, you know that you should never anger them lightly. Somali touched on a sensitive issue with Koreans and acted without any restraint in a way he shouldn’t have. And Korea is an internet powerhouse. No matter how well Somali hides, finding him is a piece of cake. Even before he got into a confrontation on the street yesterday, Somali’s location had already been broadcast live by KZbinrs tracking them in real-time. When Koreans have a target, they pursue it to the very end. Never provoke Koreans. Never disrespect Korean pride. When you honor this, Koreans are among the kindest, most dedicated people in the world. Don’t forget this.

@@dirtydoug5050Blacks are fine in Korea. Black Koreans are fine in Korea. But most SEA in Korea are labor workers who are not "tourists." There are more illegal SEA immigrants than tourists and legal workers in Korea. That's why. Europeans and Americans don't come to Korea to illegally migrate. South East Asians have brought in lots of problems, including drug related crimes and illegal prostitution, marriage frauds, and illegal gambling. Maybe address that issue first. There has been 600% increase in drug related crimes in Korea in the last 6years. Who do you think are smuggling drugs into Korea? Americans? No. It's usually the Thais and Vietnamese. 78% of Thai tourists ended up never leaving the nation. Many Vietnamese women marry Korean men for citizenship and they run away as soon as they get to Korea or when they get a legal status. 38 Koreans were murdered, extorted in the Phillipines and Koreans are often targeted for murder and robberies. So maybe fix that problem first before even talking about discrimination. It's like they are real criminal versions of Johnny Somali. Koreans like Mongolians and Nepalese because they are hardworking, honest people.

Somali currently faces one charge but could potentially face three additional charges. According to local news, he has been charged with obstruction of business for an incident involving pouring ramen in a convenience store. Additionally, multiple reports have surfaced, and further investigations will address potential charges related to drug use, sexual assault, and deepfake-related sexual crimes. A significant factor is the "Statue of Peace" issue. It’s unclear how this will impact the case, but because he committed an act that many Koreans strongly detest, it could influence his charges, possibly intensifying them.

It's the Statue of Peace for me. Can't explain the violent gut reaction I felt when I saw that video. It felt ... personal. And I'm not even Korean. What this guy doesn't realize is that the issue about the comfort women is not something that happened to our distant ancestors. It's what happened to our sweet grandmothers. I grew up listening to my lola's stories of everything she went through to avoid being a comfort woman, including hiding in a pit for days when the Japanese arrived. (If you know how hot the Philippines can be, you know what a challenge that is.) If that video of him SA-ing a statue that represents the comfort women hit me the way it did, when my lola was thankfully able to escape that fate, how much more someone whose grandmother went through it? We can forgive. Many of us have. But we can't forget. What this fool did was desecrate the memories of people we hold close to heart. He insulted millions of families in Asia with one stupid video and had the gall to tell us to get over it because it happened 80 years ago. At the same time, he cries racism every chance he gets. It's disgusting.

Koreans have a strong sense of justice and will not beg for life when they fight against injustice and disrespect. Korea held over 1,500 protests during the Japanese occupation of Korea. They serve in many armies around the world and have seen action in multiple theatres. He got clipped right on the jawline and it almost rung-his-lights-out. He felt it and was still disorientated. But I also think it was the reverse psychology that got him very quiet with out saying a single peep, was because of the Korean guys calm demeanor in how he approached him CALMLY and wasn't worked up or agitated by him like most people do because they are angry and chasing him. That is what he wants is for them to lose their-shit and react. Plus, the Korean army guy just stands there taunting him even more while being handcuffed by the cops, and is simply smiling telling Somali to keep talking and that he will see him again soon like they are friends. 🤣

We Koreans do not discriminate against foreigners. However, since we do not see them often, we may view them with curiosity. By no means, we discriminate against foreigners. Recently, we have seen foreigners often in Seoul, but they are still unfamiliar to us. However, most Koreans are friendly. Do not judge them as cold by their appearance, but try approaching them and talking to them. Then you will see how warm-hearted Koreans are.

Yup. The Japanese are not too far off from America in the early 2000's: Too concerned about being polite and tolerating this nonsense. Both America and Japan hate this stuff though because, of course, it's people taking advantage of common courtesy. As an American myself I'd rather us be great friends with Japan and idiots like this guy are ruining that and giving us a bad name which is why you always see apologies from Americans in the comments section. I'm glad Koreans and their military culture don't tolerate this at all. I wish America could emulate that energy more, we desperately need it these days.
