In my long life I've traveled all over the world. The only place where my life was threatened at gunpoint in broad daylight was by a black man outside a bookshop in San Francisco. And the two greatest acts of kindness from strangers in my whole life both occurred in Thailand and in China (the each literally spent an entire working day helping me, someone they'd never met). The casual racism towards Asians is disgusting, it's as if people are blind to it, as if with all racism/slavery only blacks could be the victims.
