My favorite subtle detail in Tim's plot is that he was very much assassinated and the story never out and says it. On top of Sisto injecting him with contact solution to begin with and knowing exactly where he was supposedly poisoned from, Hululand's dying dream has him say outright that the glass was a replica without lead paint, a fact he would carry to the grave with him in real life.
@Xad3n4 ай бұрын
It's worth noting that the Make Alive Ray was left in the yard (the Pupa threw it into the grass when Korvo comes to inspect the state of the backyard), so its highly likely it will become a major point of conflict between the citizens of the Yard as well as between the Yard and the Wall. Nova will probably stage some sort of campaign into the Yard if she finds out the ray exists as her desperation to revive Halk remains her central driving motivation.
@Ocelot8354 ай бұрын
I bet in that case they will play with Conquistadors/South America exploration tropes. Like for example two rivaling expeditions, one from the Wall and second one from the Back Yard, going deep into uncharted terrtories of overgrown grass to find mysterious "Fountain of Youth" that allegedly can bring people back from the dead. And maybe on their way both will find the remnants of original group that migrate from the Wall back in season 3 as some trope play on Pre-Columbian Civilization?
@parkermaisterra85323 ай бұрын
Man I’m just sensing a massive religious war brewing. The Bowinian church who believe in Jesse who killed Sisto and ended the climate crisis meanwhile the people of the yard are probably going to develop a religion centered around Cherie as someone blessed (which in turn will probably revive faith in Pezlie being some messiah). I’m so fucking for it

Agreed, Rick and Morty has a serious identity crisis since season 4 or so. Meanwhile Solar Opposites is doing its own thing in the corner and it just freaking knows what it wants to do with the A, B and most likely even with C plot line. While Rick and Morty started off as a neat adult sci fi show and then fell into the meta jokes and overusage of references, Solar Opposites have done it since day 1 and it's literally its thing, and then there's The Wall and I can't express how much I love the show for just always being true to itself. Solar Opposites is simply supreme in that regard.

One thing i dont think people talk about enough is how creative the writets get with getting the wallians to use everyday items and toys to build their communities. I noticed it again in season 5: using a bird house as a saloon, with bottle caps for seats postcards for pictures a crayon for a hitching post. Am i the only one who now wants to build his own tiny wall with items around the house?
@Oniqueen3 ай бұрын
I love The Wall subplot mostly because this is the exact kind of thing I use to imagine while playing with my toys as a kid. I used to love imagining 'What if my action figures were just little people?' all the time and have them interact with items like tooth picks or bottle caps, and also have them go on long arduous treks across the backyard. So seeing all the creative ways this show does the exact kind of things I used to do is like coming home for me. I wonder if the writers had similar experiences and which is why they made it?

Something tells me Ringo (and Season 6) will venture on an introspective journey of past self vs. present self. Ringo would rightfully be considered a dead man walking, and most of the small people would hate him, but Ringo wouldn't know why. I really like Solar Opposites. It sets itself apart from Rick and Morty. The Wall is such a great storyline ❤ Ive recommend the show to people just for that story. I like the Silver cops story too. The main storyline with the aliens gets better as it goes on and I love they made them more of an actual family who do care for each other in their own weird way. Making Korvo and Terry and actual couple was refreshing too. And making Korvo less of Rick character and changing the voice entirely instead of tryna replace Rolands was a great move.

i love the wall side story but the big bad are really the aliens : Yum and even Jessie because of theirs lack of empathy , and considerations don't understand that you can't play with the live of people ( but the sla opposites are just jerk in generals even with themselve) it remind me of Under the Dome , from Stephen king novel ( Spoileer : in the end the dome was put by alien who were bored , and play with humans like ants) Many lessons here :In the end you either die a hero or live long enough to be the very villin you try to fight .... people can live wihout a leader
@theotherohlourdespadua11313 ай бұрын
The way you said it makes the premise of the B-plot story all the more sensible: the aliens are essentially the uncaring but very powerful gods who "created" and "governed" The Wall. Their actions - mostly done without the wellbeing of those in The Wall - have direct and major consequences for the latter. I will not be surprised that this show may be written with or without the intention of being a critique on the concept of the existence of a benevolent god...

The Wall actually saved solar opposites from being a rick and morty clone and The Backyard saved The Wall from being repetitive. Season 4 was very lacking, yeah you have Cherie want to save her daughter and that’s important but the climate change is not bringing anything new. I actually wanted to see the wooden daft pank that being not nice to jessy and yum kept alive because seeing wooden people inside the wall would be a huge plot point because the wooden city didn’t exist before season 2 so seeing the people of the wall especially those that’s been inside the wall before wall war 1 would be interesting. Too bad they kill them and we got religion wars. The backyard is much more original because we stuck inside the wall for 4 seasons so we needed fresh air.
