Once I was "looking after" an infant, while working on my bike, while his mom was gone for while. I spoke o him about the economic situation, I just had heard about on the news.. He sure looked interested, and didn't cry once.

Me too! Everytime I watch an episode, I just miss him more! Almost like a father figure I never had I was 3 yrs. When he started, watched him grow into his gray hair, but his humor was the best, R.I.P. Mr. Carson

Jetwash ! - Absolutely! There will truly never be a late night host like Johnny ever again. He’s the GOAT. If Leno and Letterman couldn’t improve on it, and I love Letterman, then no one will. Especially in this day and age with Fallon being the top show now. Which says a lot for the quality of competition to Johnny’s throne. It simply won’t be done.

I've never heard of him, or this show- until i got a pop up on my phone to watch Drew Barrymore on this when she was 7. Absolutely brilliant. Makes me smile, innocent heart warming stuff :)

@@ddruxman3579I couldn’t make out what Emanuel was saying .. something like Makaka … maybe one of the tea cups that had a monkey on it. I think the ride at Disney Land with tea cups have specific animal themes , like monkeys , gorillas , lions etc and maybe he was in. Monkey one . I’m not sure about that part. But Johnny Carson thought he was saying caca (poop) The laughter from the kid was hilarious. Nothing this kid isn’t (wasn’t ) aware of. And Johnnys laugh as a result of Emanuel’s laughter was so perfect . He (Carson) knew how to roll with the talks . I loved it 🥰 ❤😂

This clip shows why Johnny Carson was and always will be the King of Late Night television. Whether his guest was 12 or 112, he could elicit a sense of comraderie and ease, as if he was just chatting with a friend in their living room. No one comes even close to his skill and wit.

@Lionel Raoul, The hate mongering commie/socialism so prevalent in a number of talk show hosts is a complete turn off. I ceased tuning in after Carson, well mostly, I did watch Leno a bit. I canceled Comcast Cable about 5 years ago, saving about 40 f.r.a.u.ds per month.
