[Chorus:]
I said "Stick 'em up everybody, I'm robbing this place
Drop all of your money in my guitar case
Don't nobody move and don't nobody reach for that door
A lady said, "Why, you're Johnny Cash!"
I said, "No ma'am, I'm the Manhattan Flash
And I am the best bank robber in New York

He was real for this one. This song feels like a coded message to his audience when he tells them that what you see isn't what you get. The audience isn't getting the authentic Johnny Cash from his place under the record labels, but something more akin to the chicken that happens to be performing his songs.

My voice is, within a note or two depending on the day, the same bass/baritone range his is and he's only an octave up so it's sung at the high end of baritone.. It just seems like he jumps up two because he says it in a girly tone. It's rare he ever sings out of his usual range so it's seems that much more contrasted. He normally sticks to what he's most famous for... that booming, thundering radio voice that sounds like god and rattles everything through a good system like a heavy bass track.... :)
