When I was in High School, this song was SUPER popular. At lunch, they used to play the radio in the cafeteria over the loudspeakers, so we often sang along when good ones came on. A 3rd grade student of mine was a heck of a fiddler and we played the Devil Went Down to Georgia" a few times. It took all I had to keep up on my Hummingbird but we did it.
