Do you prefer the single strand method of Cockscombing or 3 strand?
@unclerojelio63207 жыл бұрын
Put me down for three-strand. I think it's easier to keep centered and even because you alternate sides. If you really want a challenge, try the single strand ringbolt hitching in Ashley's #3615. I've tried it a few times and it always comes out like a dog's breakfast for me.

I have just had a look at #3615 it does look challenging. I always find looking at drawing a challenge anyway, as the artist always makes it look to neat and simple!!

Thanks! I have some hiking sticks that I need to do some hitching on for a friend. This should do nicely!

I like this a lot!! I think I can use this on a cork, you know I've been looking for a knot for it!! Great video!! do you think you can tell me how to start it out if I used a cork? Thanks John!!
@KnottingKnots7 жыл бұрын
Perhaps start if off in exactly the same way, then maybe a little dab of glue and then cut the end off flush? Maybe also drill a hole all the way through the same size as the cord, then a slightly larger hole half way through. Pass the cord through the larger hole end, tie a knot and that knot should then fit in the larger hole but stop where the hole gets smaller again. Or small Turks head at each end to cover start and finish.

If you are talking about a cork, as in a wine bottle cork, then you might want to try needle hitching instead of ringbolt hitching. flic.kr/p/cvVLpN

Actually, I really would love to test drive the Spyderco Tusk™ C06TI, the problem for a poor man like me is the price!! Next time you drive past, can you ask them to view my channel and sponsor me? 🙄
@grumpybob59697 жыл бұрын
yes but dont get your hopes up cause they seem to think they are a cut above everyone else. other makers out there with better prices for us people on limited income

It is a lovely looking knife, but I really did fall off my chair when I saw the price. I don't suppose you could "Ram Raid" the premises with your car late at night? ;-)
