You probably should go to ДВРЗ (DVRZ, yeah just like KHTZ in Kharkiv). it's not dangerous but it looks a bit different than the other parts of Kyiv with most of the buildings built before WW2. But still looks dodgy.

Johnny, after 16 years in Vietnam, I can assure you, plenty of Vietnamese eat dog. I have lived in Vung Tau, Can Tho, Dalat, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Saigon and a few even smaller places. There are dog restaurants everywhere. Thit Cho = Dog Meat.
