Oh hey! This is awesome. I've been trying to figure out a way to create a Guid hairs to child hairs workflow. This kind of solves that. You can even use the curve factor to change the "Spread" along the curve to get clumping. Next would be a way to actually get the hairs to interpolate between the guilds. However, I think that would require an entirely different approach. For now, this would work to at least get rudimentary hair clumping. THANKS!

Finally a way to make real braids. I tried to do that with a path curve. Did not work. Tryed everything. Nothing worked. At the end i found the option to convert that path curve to the new ones, and boom, a new world for hair has opened. I love the new system.

Do oyu know if it is possible to use the "surface_uv_coordinate" attribute to spread the child hairs? That way they wouldn't move away from the surface with spread. I can't find a way to make it work myself.

Hey Johnny thanks for these tuts, one question: is there a way to add noise to just the end of the hair curves?
@JohnnyMatthews2 жыл бұрын
Sure, use the endpoint selection node and only select the last few control points to move

Cool stuff but I add this node and my hai goes in reverse

it would be nicer if you used an actual head and shoulders where one has to model it around all of that stuff for people that have little to NO artistic aptitude

Why not do it with a mesh and convert to hair curves then?
