1. Very helpful. 2. Your presentation style is very personable and effective. 3. I love your camera man, and he is very good... steady, knows what to focus on and when, has good instinct. Wish one of my kids could stand still that long.

Your camera 'man' is very sweet and doing a great job, concentrating hard on his work. Well done, little man! Thanks for explaining it so well. The diagram of parts was very useful. In CA, it is the law to add flow restrictors due to water shortage, and it is for the common good. Except I am very frugal with my water, and the kitchen tap restrictor drives me mad, it takes too long to fill a pot with water. So it has to go. Tip for Camera man - do more closeups in a DIY demo. Go up close to where the action is. You don't need the speaker in the frame, do 90% on the project, 10% on speaker as a general rule. Great job holding camera steady and getting everything inside the frame!

This is exactly what i wanted to know. Id no clue how to even get that tiny cap for the Allen key off ! Excellent camera work ! I could see exactly what i needed to do ! Tks

Your video helped me. I had looked for the restrictor, but I missed it somehow. After seeing your video I looked again. There it is. I too had to use a screw to grab hold of the thing. I yanked that sucker out. Now my faucet can feed a fire hose! Thank you.

I have the exact same model and the waterflow is worse that yours. I spent 2 hrs this morning removed the cartridge, but did not know how to remove the flow restrictor. The maneuver by drill machine is an unusual step. Will try it on my faucet. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing this video. Your method worked out great. It is amazing how much more water flows out of our vessel faucets now. My wife was like wow actual water flow. This is how they should work from the beginning.

Thank you for this video. After 10 years, the flow restrictor in one of my bathroom sinks was so bad, there was little to no water flow. I tried in vain to remove it until I saw your video. Word of caution, don't apply too much pressure. I literally pushed the center-part of the flow restrictor into the pipe. I shot air into the opposite end using a duster, and by sheer luck was able to see and fish out the plastic piece with a paper clip. I might put in a new flow restrictor in the future, but for now, I'm just happy the faucet works again. (Btw, I did try to reverse-flush the pipe with vinegar, but after 2 tries over 4 days, there was little or no improvement.) Again, many thanks for your tip.

" looks like it's peeing" is an accurate description. I had both my baths completely remodeled three years ago and forgot about the low-flow faucets. big disappointment. The low capacity toilets however flush flawlessly and efficiently. I am on a well and calcium buildup is a problem.
@davidnle5 ай бұрын
my new kitchen faucet water flow is very low compares to my old one. The two water lines that came with the Moen faucet are skinny. Maybe now they restrict the water flow by making the built in water lines smaller?

I have new faucets but in traditional style. Can you help with finding the flow restrictor on these. It's not in the faucet, I think, but in the handles. Maybe I'm wrong on that.
@dwansbo3 жыл бұрын
By completely removing the restrictor you run the risk of too mush pressure, over shooting the basin. Would it not be better to enlarge the hole in incremental sizes until the best maximum flow rate is found?
@JohnnysTipsandTricks3 жыл бұрын
Good point. TBH I don’t have that problem but I do have a bit too much water flow. Full blast for us is about three quarter open so the sink doesn’t fill up too fast.

My tap shoots the water out so fast it goes over the basin ..how do I put a restricted on
@JohnnysTipsandTricks2 жыл бұрын
They sell a screen that you just pop in where the water comes out. My last sink, the guy who installed had three in there and I had hardly any flow. When I removed them and left one I was good. I’m thinking you can just add some screens and slow down the flow.
